My partner and I stayed here for a long weekend and had a very nice time. It’s a bit farther back in the woods than I expected, but it gave us a lot of privacy which was appreciated! It was nice and cozy and I loved being able to sit by the electric fireplace and play games. Daryl gave great directions to the cabin and was very communicative and helpful!
This was an awesome place to stay. House had everything you needed. The fire pit was awesome with all the wood. Had many grills which made things so convenient. Will definitely stay here again. Loved the large yard with all the games.
Great isolated. Privacy. Outdoors fresh air. Great view of stars at night that testify of the Lord Jesus creation. Spacious awesome accommodations.

This place really needs improvement
The whole place could use a coat of paint. Nothing felt "clean." Most of the mattresses were terrible; we finally found one upstairs that was good. That meant my 91-year-old husband had to climb the stairs. The outside had a beautiful lawn. There were NUMEROUS old gas grills sitting around and a pile of "junk" behind the shed. Not very inviting. We definitely will not be going back.
The floors could use a bit of good old fashion scrubbing on your hands and knees, also there was a good bit of pet hair on the beds and blankets. There was a pile of I believe cat feces under a chair at the table. The outside was not trimmed or weeded for quite a while. The bicycles are stored outside and not in very good condition. Trash from the previous rental left in the barrel was knocked over by a bear the first night we were there and scattered over the lawn. We would have loved to see the bear but there was no real lighting for the area outside and not a good window for observation from the inside. There are a number of grills around the outside that aren't usable.
The kitchen was fairly clean, including the oven and fridge. We loved the area and i do believe this cabin could be very nice if it were a little better cared for.
We met Daryl briefly when we arrived, he was very nice
Beautiful area. Cabin is comfortable and clean. Having a washer and dryer in the cabin is fantastic. We used the firepit every night the weather permitted. It is close enough to many attractions in the area.
Beautiful quiet place in the woods. Absolutely loved it!!!

Disappointed
It was to be a quick weekend getaway. Turned out to be not what we expected. The moment we entered the cabin there was a heavy musty odor. When we turned on the water we found the source of the odor. The smell swater was run there
We had such a great time at this cabin. It's a bit rustic, but they provide so many things for everyone to do, including a fire pit with plenty of firewood and chairs for lots of people! They have a number of bicycles for kids (or adults) to ride. It was clean and offered a lot of games for indoor use, too. The space is amazing, the pictures don't do it justice. Some other reviews talk about a difficult road to travel without 4x4, and in the winter, i would agree. However, while it is a dirt road, it is easily traversed in any normal vehicle. Perhaps they've recently had road work done.
I highly recommend this place! We will definitely be going back there next year!

Very disappointing
My family reserved this cabin for a weekend getaway to enjoy the fall weather. I don't normally write bad reviews, but I don't want other families to go through this same experience, as this was a nonrefundable stay. Upon arrival, we unloaded our van and discovered that the house was extremely dirty. There were dead flies on the counter, the stove and all around the house. I also found other dead bugs on the floor...I tried to wipe down the bathroom and swiffer-mopped the kitchen, dining room, bathroom and upstairs bathroom. We stayed an hour or 2 and then just decided that we couldn't sleep there and left. This was quite a disappointing experience for me and my family.

No quite as advertised
Dogs had fun!
However for us humans who were looking for peace and quiet well, kinda hard to find when there is fracking going on night and day and not that far from cabin.
There is mold growing under the sealant at the door to the shower.. There were dead bugs in the some of the beds and in most all the rooms. There was a satellite but no satellite TV. There was also a DVD player ( as advertised) but it wasn’t hooked up. There was also residue in the coffee pot. Also as advertise, the “well stocked “ kitchen was indeed stocked but with very few pots or pans that were decent enough to use!
I had planned to grill steaks for a meal but none of the seven or more grills were, in my opinion decently clean enough.
Things we did like; the cozy living room, huge tv and electric fireplace( which we used because the heater made a loud racket when it went off so we chose not to use it.
Private getaway. We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The outdoor space is amazing, with plenty of activities for all and an opportunity to reconnect with the forest.
The internet speed was limited to 3 Mbps (much lower than advertised 500 Mbps), but it was stable and worked fine for our needs.

Do not wish to be mean but outside of cabin looks very junky with 6 grills sitting around
This is OK for a hunting party group but for VRBO we expected much more. Was not up to the as the last place we stayed in Wellsboro was beautiful and clean. This needs new and more towels and washrags and better cleaning service. Cobwebs and bugs on the floor. Kids bikes, toys and other things outside that do not show on photo on VRBO
Beautiful, tranquil property. All the necessities at your fingertips. Secluded, only a few cars passing by each day. Owner, Daryl, awesome ~ prompt responses to questions. Second visit, and will be back!
This stay was remote and quiet. It was challenging to find using GPS but the directions from the host were spot on. The sleeping possibilities were great. More beds than a family of 4 needs. There have been definite improvements made to the property that were a pleasant surprise. We had a great time. Our host was very helpful and quick to answer our questions. If you want a peaceful, out of the way retreat -- this is the place for you!
