We spent 4 nights there. It was June gloom overcast in LA, but we drove above the clouds to sunny Big Bear days on the water!
It was so beautiful. Loved sitting on the decks, sitting on the dock, and some dips in the hot tub with a great view. We brought our own corn hole to play on the sandy area, which was perfect. And sand toys for my 2 year old.
We cooked most meals there and it had almost all the items we needed. (We brought our own good knives, spices, oils, etc.) And the location is phenomenal. Obviously it being on the lake, but also a quick drive to the Village.
Any issues were small:
--The floor didn't seem to have been mopped before we came, or at least could have been better cleaned. It was gritty.
--A number of the light fixtures were difficult to figure out how they worked (we never figured out one of them) and we wished there was some guiding signage, a simple fix.
--The bunk bed design in the main floor room is best for kids. It became a joke how often the two adults who used it kept badly banging our heads on it. And the other adults kept banging their heads on the spiral stairs on the bottom floor. We at least had fun with the total house head bump tally.
--Bedding stuff wasn't our fave. If I went again I'd just bring my own pillow and duvet to sleep comfortably.
But the pros of the house far outweighed anything else. We had THE BEST TIME. A magical place, truly. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
