Please note that during the winter season, heating is provided by a wood-burning stove and a fireplace; water is drawn from an external tank (10,000 liters) via a hydraulic pump and then heated by a water heater—the same system is used for showering. For electricity, there is an expanded solar panel system capable of powering even large appliances (e.g., refrigerator and microwave). You can easily drive to Campolaro without snow chains; from there, you’ll need to walk or use snowshoes to reach LIMEN if you don’t have snow chains, if it’s snowing, and/or if the road is icy.

Keep in mind that, since this is a high-mountain location, there are few places where a regular cell phone works (it’s best to have a satellite phone); however, we are equipped with Starlink Wi-Fi for basic communication.

The road is in good condition up to Travagnolo; beyond that, it gets a bit rocky, but if you have a vehicle with high-clearance tires (such as an SUV or 4x4), there are no problems, and you can drive directly to the chalet.
