Scenic views in Bidart

I highly recommend staying here. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. This place is located in a prime location, very close to the bus stop, and the beach is a two minute walk away. Really great views of the Plage and of Bidart town.

Fanny at the front desk went above and beyond to take care of my companion when they fell ill for a night. She was always smiling and radiated positivity. The entire staff was exceptional—especially the cleaning lady, who was both respectful and friendly. Le Fregate truly felt like a home away from home.

La Frégate feels like a weathered beach lodge. It is clean and comfortable and the ocean view (and constant sound of the waves) is everything! The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice (for an additional €13) and the reception area features a full bar, where you can conveniently order a café or cocktail. The local buses go into Bayonne, Biarritz, Guethary or Saint Jean de Luz. Bedding and bathroom were comfortable. I wish the balcony windows had screens, as small flies appeared on warmer days. But overall, it was a wonderful stay. We recommend this hotel.

Perfect family friendly and cute ocean front ocean views hotel. Excellent customer service. Very practical. Walking to eateries, cliff side views and sunsets. Just what we needed. All basics were well met. Bunks for our small kids was practical and we could close our door a little to have a bit of privacy. Surfing is popular here even in late October early November people were out there.

We stayed here for the beach and the view. The Hotel would need an upgrade. Rooms are smaller than expected. A bit pricy for what it was. Air conditioned did not work but if you open the patio you sleep with the ocean sound. Breakfast was ok. There is the beach restaurant that had great food. We still enjoyed our stay.

"beau séjour"

Chambre propre et confortable, hôtel propre et convivial, vue sur la plage et l'océan, café pris dans un petit salon agréable face à la mer, à cause du mauvais temps nous n'avons pas pu profiter des tables extérieures et des bains de soleil. Petits déjeuners bons et à volonté, repas bons, service impeccable pour le nettoyage ou le restaurant, seul bémol le seuil et la rambarde du balcon étaient abîmés. Nous recommandons et nous y retournerons....

L’hotel est situé sur la mer. Magnifique vue et tres agréable pour la baignade. Il y a une belle salle commune dans l’hôtel et un agréable jardin. Tout y est bien aménagé. Je recommande fortement!

We hebben in dit hotel 1 nacht verbleven op onze doorreis naar Spanje. Het hotel was makkelijk te vinden en we konden de auto prima kwijt. Wel apart dat je €5 extra moet betalen voor een plek bij de hoofdingang terwijl een parkeerplek ernaast gratis is. De kamer is krap en gedateerd, met veel bagage kun je deze niet goed kwijt. In de praktijk kun je max. 1 koffer kwijt naast het bureau. De badkamer is schoon. Echt een pluspunt is het zeezicht en de ligging. De omgeving is prachtig. We hebben savonds in het hotel gegeten, dat was heerlijk en de mannelijke ober was zeer vriendelijk. Ontbijt is prima maar tegen een toeslag. Al met al is het geen goedkope kamer, waarschijnlijk betaal je voor het uitzicht.
