This home is beautiful. Its located on the Resort and even on the golf course where we are literally about 75' away from the course itself. Lots of amenities listed and well stocked.
That being said... for a $1.5M home on the golf course, it was mind boggling the condition that we found the home in when we walked in. First of all, the management company said that we couldn't check in until 6 PM due to shortages in staff. Fine, ok. Then when we did get there, we immediately saw that the place had not been cleaned as one would expect. It seems that they only worried about the things one could see, rather than doing a proper cleaning of such a beautiful home. The kitchen counters had sticky crap on it, the walls in the kitchen had what looked like either coffee or soda splattered on them. There were cobwebs EVERYWHERE and in every room. The air intake grate for the heating system was absolutely COVERED in dust bunnies. The ceiling fan blades were also covered in dust bunnies and those could be seen from anywhere.
My wife and I walked into our bedroom (master bedroom) and immediately knew this was going to be a rough stay as the King size bed had a visible and large hump in the middle of it. I first thought this might have been two twins pushed together, but nope, it was the King mattress that was essentially shot. Great!!!
The hot tub was in such a disgusting condition that they had to have the hot tub place come out, empty the tub out, replace the filter, which looked like it had NEVER been changed, and refill the tub.
It was all sooo nasty that I requested that a representative from Bennington come out and take a look for themselves. I'm not going to name any names here, but when you have every member of your family taking pics of things that are not clean, that has to tell you something. Bennington was very apologetic about the condition of the home and even though this was a beautiful home in a great location, I think that a HUGE disservice was done to the home owners. Bennington gave us a food allowance for our trouble, but looking back at it, we feel like we were just another renter coming through and not to be bothered with. Unfortunate... All in all, this gets a 2 star and I'm being generous. BTW, we took a TON of pictures to document things in the event that something was to come back on us, that's how bad it was... Not the way we wanted to spend Spring Break with the kids.
