The staff is nice. The property itself is not. It’s very, very dated. I didn’t have curtains in my room which was wasn’t ideal considering I was facing the street. The bathroom is tiny, the shower even smaller. It’s also not near the downtown area, either wait for a bus or walk. If you just got off the ferry you’ll have to wait for a bus as there are no taxis in the area, or you are walking.

The staff was great. The balcony was lovely. The room was spotlessly clean. The bed had a strange ridge in the middle of the mattress and it was easy to hear the sounds from adjacent rooms in our room.

Our room looked like a dorm room. Our air conditioner was so loud we could not sleep. We checked out early and this hotel would not refund us. Very disappointed with Hotel Silvio and Expedia. No one would help us.

Spacious comfortable loft room, view, train delayed to Como and late to hotel (about 9:15-9:30pm)- no dining options in Bellagio open including hotel Silvio, but they did end up allowing cold appertivo options and wine with some convincing. Bellagio is a beautiful place! Recommend ferry ride to Como.

Hotel Silvio was very nice. We loved the balcony! The balcony had a tiny table and two chairs. Perfect for morning tea. The restaurant was fancy and pretty. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The air-conditioning worked well! My only issue and advise ----when you get off of the ferry catch the bus (reasonably close) to the hotel. The bus runs on the hour. Do NOT count on taxis! Lugging the suitcase up the hill was difficult. However, I am in my 50's, have a bad knee with 40 extra pounds on me. However, once you get the luggage into the hotel, the 10 minute walk into the heart of the town isn't too bad. Being away from the heart of town had its perks. It was quiet and we had a splendid view of the water from our balcony. It was also nice to go downstairs at the end of our day and have a glass of wine in the courtyard, with all its pretty lights and attentive staff. The elevator was a little "iffy" at the time, so the receptionist carried our bags up the stairs. They were very helpful there.... really more than any other place we stayed. I would stay there again as long as I had a ride up the hill.

Dust all over ceiling fan in our room, good breakfast, could of had more variety for breakfast. Room was small and tight, beautiful views from the property and dining, nice walk through the Villa gardens close by. Parking if you can get one, hard to get a parking spot once dinner starts if you go out and come back. Free Public parking about 300 m away.

The property was lovely . It was quiet. It was a 10 minute walk into town. The restaurant’s menu definitely tried to bring local Cuisine to the fore front . The front desk person was extremely helpful and accommodating

Nice basic hotel. Quite clean although our shower tray needed a good bleaching. Restaurant lovely. Good breakfast. Staff helpful and friendly. The walk into town is problematic as it’s mainly on a busy road. Down hill on the way in but uphill on the way back which, when you are full of pasta and wine, is not so good. The walk played havoc with my husbands hip so we checked out a day early.

We stayed at the hotel apartments, which we believed to be on the same grounds as the hotel. The 5-10 minute walk up a hill to reach our apts was unexpected. There are no elevators at the apt and we carried luggage up to the 4th floor, which was also unexpected. The room was large and comfortable enough for three people but the sofa couch was uncomfortable. The room was clean and we had a decent view of the water (the lower rooms do not have a view). The apt had a kitchenette but it was poorly stocked - it had a fridge, electric kettle, and some utensils and glasses but no coffeemaker or coffee. The bathroom was roomy but the shower did not drain and you wind up standing in ankle deep water. Despite requests for this to be looked at, it’s unclear if anyone came. We also requested extra towels which never arrived. Instead, they placed the towels from the floor back on the towel hooks. The front desk staff was very nice and did try to accommodate us by driving us to the apt in a car upon arrival and departure. However, while we saw other hotels send cars to the town center to pick up guests from the airport and dinner etc, Silvio does not provide this. The highlight of our stay was the excellent restaurant. The staff were exceptionally nice and accommodating. And the food is very good. The absolute standout is the local fish with risotto. It’s a regional specialty and a must try. It was a true highlight of our entire stay in the Lake Como area.

Beware of annex building 500meters away. Very far. does not feel part of hotel. Felt very disconnected. The walk from Ferry to hotel was SO challenging. Uphill and very hot. A bit of a distance from City Center. Check in staff .. just OK. no one ever answered the phone. I think 'main hotel' maybe be nice, but I would stay in city center next time for sure.

(Not the hotels fault that I didnt check location better but really not a good place with kids.. Terrible to walk from the apartment to city centre alongside cars at Street with no sidewalks....but this is not the responsibility of the Hotel.) Although, the apartment smelled clorine like it was showered in it..like a quick-fix clearing. Fridge was not cleaned and there was food in it from the past guests... ( the Hotel staff came to fix when we told them though) There should be information about the noise problem. We hade only an indoor-door between us and neighbour and they gave us big troubles to sleep.. It sounded like they were in the same room. And on The other side of Street was a really annoying dog ( and I'm a dog lover!) barking a Lot. The "private beach" of Hotel felt dirty but better beach quite nearby.. But again problem walking with kids... I wouldn't recommend this place to a family with kids but maybe ok for young party people or some thing like that.. Staff was polite and friendly.

we selected "the apartment" as the hotel room; as an upgrade... It was listed as part of the hotel in an annex building. It was not an annex building it was away up a steep hill; it did not have the view to the lake; and it did not have hotel service..I called for additional pillows, water and ice and the answer was...if you happen to stop by the hotel we will be happy to provide !!! We specked to be in a Hotel...not a stand alone building.

We are sorry that you did not understand your booking. It says everywhere that the annex is 500m from the hotel and we also have a map attached so you can check it before you arrive and if you read it you would know it before you book your stay. It is also nowhere written that we guarantee a view of the lake. We are sorry that you are not satisfied with your stay but really everything was explained on our part.

Apartment at La Colombina was lovely as was the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff and a great breakfast. It’s a beautiful location and I would thoroughly recommend the hotel and Bellagio!

Helt okej hotell i Bellagio, bra läge även om vi bodde i ett annex lite längre bort (mer än 500m som de skriver). Trevlig utsikt över sjön från restaurangen. I annexet bodde bl a annan barnfamilj som tyvärr förde en massa liv (sprang runt, runt, runt och skrek) från kl 07 på morgonen. Byggnaden är lyhörd.

Jeg havde booket værelset med delvis søudsigt et halvt år inden vi skulle komme. Men på trods af den meget tidlige bookning fik vi det dårligste værelse med mindst mulige søudsigt. Værelser var meget lille og netop vores værelse havde ikke minibar/kildeskab. Vi anmodede om et andet værelse og gav udtryk for at, det var for dårligt især i forhold til vores meget tideligt bookning, men de ville ikke flytte os, uagtet værelset med en bedre udsigt stod tomt, da vi ankom. Hotellet er meget lidt lydisoleret, så der var larm fra kl.6:00 til meget sen aften. Hotellet lever slet slet ikke på til den pris det koster. Værdien får pengene du betaler er meget ringe. Overnatningen burde Max. Koste omkring 100 euro pr. Døgn

Buongiorno Caro Claus,grazie per la sua recensione.Ci dispiace non si sia trovato bene, ma riceviamo prenotazioni anche un anno in anticipo e al momento della sua prenotazione del 19 Gennaio (5 mesi prima) era l'ultima camera disponibile della tipologia con vista laterale da lei scelta. Sicuramente ci sarà stata una camera che al suo arrivo era libera ma che ovviamente sarebbe stata occupata con un check in nella stessa giornata e come Rispettabile Hotel diamo precedenza alle prenotazioni e non all'orario di arrivo.Riguardo al minibar ci dispiace ma non è un optional presente in Hotel a 3 Stelle, tuttavia abbiamo sempre disponibilità del nostro Bar aperto tutti i giorni dalle 8.00 alle 23.00.Per quanto riguarda i prezzi, vi consigliamo sempre, in qualunque posto andiate, di prenotare sui siti ufficiali degli Hotel, giustamente altre piattaforme hanno prezzi più alti per le commissioni a loro dovute.Speriamo comunque di riaverla con noi. Grazie

Situated away from the ferry landing area so it is much quieter. However there is incredibly limited transportation in Bellagio in general which is something I never read about. Be prepared to drag your bags on narrow roads for a solid 10 minutes, slightly uphill. That being said, it’s a convenient location to the other hamlets and that is a big plus.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were in the ground floor of the annex building and the views from the patio were beautiful. The room is spacious and clean. Check in was easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent as was the serving staff there. It’s a 5-10 minute walk to the hotel, but we found a dirt path off the road that we enjoyed walking on. The street is narrow and cars drive fast so we avoided that as much as possible. There was supposed to be a beach we could access but we never did find it from the directions given. It’s also a 15 min walk to town but if you buy a pass to the Melzi Garden, you can walk through there during the day and enjoy a gorgeous view of the lake and gardens and avoid walking on the road.

Beautiful location
It locates near the lake and the neighborhood is amazingly beautiful. Our first night stayed at the attic which is spacious and a nice lake view from the window. The second night switched to a room with a balcony viewing partial lake which I don’t recommend. Cause the room is really too small. Other than that, it’s recommended.
