Staying at a Motel 6 was a mistake I'll never make again. While the staff were wonderful, I was APPALLED at the state of my room. Warped floors, cracked/uneven baseboards with paint haphazardly slapped on them, sink pulling out of the wall, rust in the shower caulking, light switch covers sloppily cut in half to make room for the wall-mounted nightstands, etc. My dog and I were put in one of their "accessible" rooms and it was obscenely bare bones. No furniture other than the bed. You know some people who use wheelchairs can sit in actual chairs, right??? And where is any non-wheelchair user who is with them supposed to sit??? To their credit, there was no pet fee but that honestly wasn't enough to make up for the horrible night of sleep I got on the hard mattress while the occasional sounds of doors slamming and people walking up and down the hallway kept waking me up just when I managed to fall asleep. I envied my dog sleeping in her snuggly fluffy bed I brought from home. Learned my lesson....you get what you pay for. Or don't, in this case.
