A gorgeous property with the river, the walking paths, and the backyard house deck! The weather was beautiful and it was such a peaceful home away from home, while we attended a wedding in the area! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking our meals and the 3 queen beds were very comfortable for everyone! Thanks for everything

A Bit of Heaven

Wow, absolutely beautiful and so quiet! Had mostly sunny weather and 2 great bonfires and many great walks by the river. Wish I was the owner!!!

Had an amazing stay! Would highly recommend this property to anyone coming to Sundre. It’s tucked away in the trees, it’s so peaceful and quiet. The house was well stocked had everything we needed. The host was great to deal with, answered all questions quickly. We would recommend to others and if we come to sundre again we would book this place. The house had so many windows and let lots of natural light in. Just a great place to stay. 5 stars!

Fabulous Family Weekend at Stark Ranch!

This clean, well cared for property was perfect for our family getaway. The main house was perfect for our party of 5 adults. The kitchen was great for meal preparation with all the necessary equipment. Cozy and comfortable! The trail on the property was a fun outdoor activity. Thanks for a great weekend!

Relaxing stay by the river

Our group of four had a wonderful stay here and there was plenty of room for all of us and my pup. There are games and books provided as well, since there is no wifi (a welcome respite actually). It just a short walk to the river and a quick drive into Sundre if you need gas or groceries. We would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful weekend away from the city.

Lovely Ranch House in the woods

Had a great experience enjoying an adorable space to share time with friends. We visited at the island table cooking dinner together and played games at the large dining table. The vaulted ceiling to the upper floor balcony highlighted all the sun the windows let in. It was -30C and we were warm and cosy. Hope to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the porch and creekside and also see what else a summer/fall stay offers!

Daniels’ James River cabin

Access to the James River was exactly what we were looking forward to. It was beautiful. Daniel was very accommodating to our dog and the property was perfect for bringing her for walks and wading in the river. The cabin provided everything we needed for our stay. We struggled slightly with the ants around the fire pit and the wasps around the deck but that is to be expected with such seclusion and untouched beauty. Thank you for everything Daniel.

We had an amazing stay at this Cabin! We stayed here with 6 of us from Calgary and Edmonton. It’s not too far from either city while still have a relaxing wilderness vibe. The surrounding wooded areas and the river being so close made for some great outdoor hangouts. I highly recommend this spot.
