We stayed in this unique, unexpectedly convenient home away from home for four days. It's comfortable, well appointed, and one of a kind. Open floor plan with large breakfast bar and island to accommodate homemade meals if desired. Lots of extras show the care that has been taken to make your stay a pleasant one. You can truly make your time here whatever you like-- tranquil farm/ranch stay or fun adventure getaway for the kids. Older kids will love the lofts! The bison visited in their pen (+/- 20ft from the cabin) every night at around 8pm, making for lasting memories! Grill available at the cabin, but we chose to eat at area restaurants--10 min to 1hr drive away, depending on your preference-- all reasonably priced, delicious, and with very friendly service. The property owners couldn't have been kinder or more responsive. Keep in mind, this is a working farm, and you may hear occasional equipment. Not at all disruptive and adds to the charm! Loved seeing the owners' horses and learning a bit about farm/ranch life from the owner when shopping in their small gift shop (gifts, themed items, and bison meat products available for purchase).
One word of warning: There is one toilet and one
walk-in shower in the cabin. The shower may be difficult to maneuver for larger, disabled, and/or elderly guests. Worked well for us, but could see it being a concern for some.
Overall, we would highly recommend Sunset Hills Bison Ranch!
