We really enjoyed the stay- we were just there for our anniversary. The cabin was great- we enjoyed the hot tub- it was nice that it was inside. We brought our own kayaks and used them on the little lake there. The only complaint I would have is the stairs inside. We didn’t need to use the upstairs but enjoyed sitting on the balcony up there for morning coffee. The stairs are different widths and tricky to use especially getting down. We read the sign but going down them is a little dangerous both my husband and I slipped even though we used the railings and were going slow and being careful. The property around the cabin was great and we enjoyed the caves and cliffs that were there to explore. The house was clean and had everything we needed also.

Absolutely Fantastic!

The property and cabin was beautiful and completely as advertised. The lake had plenty of fish to catch, although the catfish eluded us all week. There was a fun family of turtles to feed. We brought our inflatable kayaks and were able use them. Everything in the cabin was pristine and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The property was gorgeous and maintained in a very natural way and there was a lot of exploring that we were able to do on property. It was as beautiful and peaceful. The road to the cabin was as a bit of an adventure so I would make sure that your car is appropriate for the hills and twists and turns. We used our all wheel drive. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Sweet 16 Dream!

We recently stayed at Sleepy Bear Cabin to celebrate my daughter’s 16th birthday — her one request was a cabin getaway, and we couldn’t have picked a better place! We've visited other cabins for various occasions in the past, but Sleepy Bear absolutely blew them all away.Before we even arrived, the owner sent a detailed message that made check-in and checkout a breeze. It even included walking directions to the different trails and sites on the property, which was a wonderful touch!The cabin itself was spotless and incredibly well-organized. There were helpful labels everywhere making it easy to find cookware and other essentials. Every patio offered stunning views.While the cabin was amazing, the property it sits on was equally impressive. There’s so much to do without ever needing to leave — beautiful hiking trails, fantastic caves to explore, and a waterfall.Inside the cabin, there was plenty of sleeping space, a super fast ice maker (a small but awesome detail!), a freshly cleaned Blackstone grill, a hot tub, and a pool table — all sparkling clean and ready to enjoy. Sleepy Bear Cabin is truly a hidden gem, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, adventure-filled escape. We’re already planning to come back — next time, we’re definitely renting a boat!Thank you for making our daughter’s Sweet 16 so special!

Awesome Cabin!

This cabin is exceptional! Great location on the lake and a several great areas to explore (caves, cliffs, hiking trails, etc) on the property. We rented a boat and did some fishing as well. I highly recommend this cabin!

Kentucky adventure

The cabin was awesome!! The hot tub was inside instead of out side witch was great bc we got to use it whenever we wanted even when it was raining and snowing!! The pool table was very nice! And the beds and pillows were amazing!! I was very clean also.

WONDERFUL GETAWAY

This cabin was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed the peacefulness and comfortability of the location. The fish and turtles off of the balcony were a true enjoyment. NOTE TO OWNER... The hot tub might need to be checked for a small slow leak since we found water around it, but other than that, it was so relaxing.

Peaceful Retreat

This was a beautiful cabin right on the lake. We were able to fish (be ready for catfish), kayak, hike and relax all week. The property has beautiful trails that are a must see (cliffs and caves). We also hiked Natural bridge and the geological area which are about 20 minutes away. Thanks! Matthew

Wonderful Property!

This was an amazing property! Everything you needed was here. Plus - the cabin was nearby to activities, but secluded once you get to the area. We loved it! Had a great time fishing, hiking, checking out the caves, etc. Highly recommend!

Beautiful area, secluded lake front visit

The cabin was described perfectly. Everything was provided. Communication with the providers was excellent and quick. Cabin was very clean and organized. The fishing on the lake was excellent. I didn't expect the lake to be that deep and nice. It was well taken care of also.

Wonderful Vacation

Our family had a wonderful time during our stay at the cabin. We went fishing and kayaking everyday. We really enjoyed the game room in the evening! There was plenty of room to spread out. The various seating areas were especially nice allowing some quiet time as well. The cabin was very clean and the stocked pantry was a nice touch. The location was nice as well with access to the gorge and the state park near by. We will definitely be coming back!

Gorgeous place to stay

The cabin was gorgeous and very clean. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. They have thought of everything here. The hiking to the caves was so pretty and the ladder cave is a must see. The lake full of fish and turtles with food there to feed them. We caught some pretty nice size catfish. We came to hike but never wanted to leave the cabin. We will be back next year!

Best relaxing vacay!

My husband and I have very stressful day time careers and also Pastor a church full time. We needed a place that we could relax. This was the place! I would recommned having a truck or SUV to get to the property because at one point the road turns into gravel. Mr. Fred made sure it was grated the whole time we were there. There are 2 caves on the property to explore. You can feed the fish and turtles right off the balcony. Hot tub was the best! Even played a little pool. Internet is not the greatest, but he tells you that up front and we really didnt want too much access. It was time for us to hang our positions up for a week and enjoy our time together. One ofnthe best vacations we've had in a long time! Definitely go visit the Natural Bridge and kayak with the Gorge Underground!

Relaxing Stay

The view from the cabin is beautiful. The fish and turtles would greet us when we came out on the deck overlooking the lake. We enjoyed the hot tub. All of us thought the beds were so comfortable. I appreciated the spices, plastic wrap, foil, etc. that was available to us to use. The cabin was very clean. I think the boat and fishing would be fun, but we didn't do it. I highly recommend this cabin - unless you have difficulty with stairs.

Relaxing stay

We had a great time hiking around the lake, feeding the fish and turtles, and fishing off the dock and boat. Cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We brought food and cooked most of our meals there. Cabin is clean and well-kept.
