Tanner Bldg Apt 3 - 2 bedroom (Downtown)

Summary:
Built in 1867, the Averill Block is consider the oldest continuous use commercial building in the State of Michigan as well as the oldest building in downtown Bay City. The 12 ft ceilings and 8 foot tall windows allow for a light and airy feel. Located steps away from everything in downtown Bay City, you can simply park your car for the weekend and walk to everything.

All communication will be through the booking channel (Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, MisterBandB). Access to apps or email is needed for all notifications and communication.

The Space:
Two bedroom walk up apartment with a full kitchen. The apartment is located on the second floor.

Guest Access:
You will have access to your own two bedroom apartment.

The Neighborhood:
Located in the heart of downtown, you are steps away from shops, eateries, and a conference center. The area is known for being safe and easily walkable. Wenonah Park and Bay City's river walk is less than a block away where many Downtown events take place, including seasonal and major concerts, Riverside Art Festival, Great Lakes Bay Pride Festival, Bay City Fireworks Festival and so much more. We're also near the Bay City Downtown "Feet On The Street" block closures in the summertime, where there is extra seating, free wellness classes, shopping, music and more.

Getting Around:
Park your car and enjoy your river walk from Downtown to Uptown. Many historic neighborhoods East of Downtown provide walking tour.

Other Things to Note:
We provide passes for on-street parking or in city lots nearby.

We do not allow dogs, and Michigan law prohibits the smoking of any substance (cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, and e-cigarettes/vaping) in short term rentals used by the public. A $200 additional cleaning fee will be added to your stay.

There are security cameras located at the front door and in the hallway of the building.

What's not to love this adorable very well cared for cute cozy apartment was absolutely a gem to find! The communication was excellent, the cleanliness was impeccable, even the building when you walk in smells so fresh and clean we were so impressed with everything! It was very comfortable we will definitely be returning!!!

Great downtown location! A few creeky floors & beware of lots of stairs (that are a bit steep) if you have any health concerns.

The building is super cute and nice! We walked everywhere, no need to drive and so many places to visit steps away! The apartment itself was clean and comfortable, the bedding especially smelled amazing and is so soft. I recommend the third floor, as you hear every squeaky step with it being an older building. I will be going back and highly recommend giving it a try!

Great location and lovely apartment!

The property was beautiful, well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. We gave it four stars because the floor was dirty, visible trash here and there and the mirrors were not clean. The shower hot/cold fixture was broken, but you were able to manipulate it so it would work. As we were leaving, someone was coming into fix it.

Fantastic Girls Weekend

The property was amazing and beautiful. The location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere. The host was great at communicating and had a folder with things to do and see. Make sure to check out the antique stores and visit Gatsby's for a drink and meal.

Spur of the moment

I so so appreciate the experience we had here. We needed to be in town for a funeral, but there wasn’t an option for the date I needed. When asked, the host responded immediately and said they would try to accommodate. The place is stunning, location is perfect and host was so understanding and gracious. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Great place in a terrific location

The host was great with communication. The apartment was clean, a good size space, well equipped, convenient to downtown Bay City. We appreciated the extras that the host left such as bottled water, coffee, creamer, and some soft drinks. The towels were huge, fluffy, soft and absorbent! The beds were comfortable. I looked for a wine opener and didn’t see one, so you might stick one in your bag if staying in this unit. We normally stay at a hotel downtown but will be staying here from now on! It was so convenient and nice! We enjoyed our stay!!!
