Battleship Rock

Staying here made us feel like we had gone back in time! There was an antique vibe with hidden, modern, amenities! We can’t remember the last time we had an actual key to our hotel room! We enjoyed being able to walk to delicious restaurants and unique shops that were close!

We loved the history of this hotel. It is big and old, which we really thought was cool. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and literally nothing was open. The hotel bar and restaurant were closed but the guy at check in recommended 2 places to eat - one was across the plaza, a pizza place, which is what we opted for so we could walk. We liked the old timeyness of the keys and the antiques in the room. Our room itself was just OK. There were stains on the covers that were over the box springs on each bed. The walls behind the nightstand where I had to plug my phone charger in looked like something had spilled and run down the wall. I would suggest that they switch to white sheets from beige, which tend to look dull and dingy instead of fresh and clean. Stains on the carpets, too.
