Im MaisonMe in Bardolino haben wir zwei Übernachtungen im Superior-Zimmer mit Seeblick und Balkon gebucht. Sehr positiv hervorheben möchte ich den professionellen und ausgesprochen freundlichen Check-in. Das Zimmer selbst war grundsätzlich in Ordnung und darauf ausgelegt, modern und außergewöhnlich zu wirken. Die Qualität des Zimmers für mich jedoch - insbesondere für den aufgerufenen Preis - nicht überzeugt. Besonders kritisch sehe ich die Gestaltung des Badebereichs. Die Toilette ist lediglich durch eine Glastür mit Spalt vom Zimmer getrennt, wodurch kaum akustische Privatsphäre vorhanden ist. Das empfand ich als unangenehm. Zusätzlich war im WC eine nicht regelbare Handtuchheizung installiert, wodurch es dort dauerhaft recht warm war. In der Gesamtbetrachtung würde ich die Unterkunft – insbesondere wegen der Raumgestaltung im Badbereich – nicht noch einmal buchen und auch nicht weiterempfehlen.

Toppenhotell !!!

Allting var toppen! Personalen i receptionen var vänlig och väldigt serviceminded. Hela hotellet kändes nybyggt och superfräscht och modernt. Frukosten var god med färskpressad juice, olika kaffesorter, bröd, pålägg, kakor och fruktsallad. Ägg tillagades åt dig efter eget önskemål. Väldigt tyst och skönt på hela hotellet. Extra plus för karaffer du själv kunde fylla med vanligt eller kolsyrat vatten och ta upp till rummet. Superbra städat överallt. Ligger precis vid sjön och det finns några p-platser utanför men annars kan man betala för en plats i garaget. Litet, lugnt och mysigt hotell med det lilla extra !

Bardolino gem

There are some super cool vibes in the lobby. The honor system bar is well stocked. The refill water bottles for flat or sparkling is practical and environmentally conscious. The front desk staff, Matteo in particular, was super informative and helpful! The room had minor repairs that could have been easily fixed. The mini fridge is literally mini! We were thankful the mattress was not memory firm but plush. The AC worked very well, especially for Europe. The “private beach area” is actually shared with another hotel and not well monitored so there were kids jumping off the dock that was clearly marked as private and no jumping. Overall, the area was clean and the water was gorgeous. We definitely enjoyed Bardolino over Sirmione over this trip to our favorite Italian lake.

I stayed here expecting a level of comfort and quality that matched or exceeded home — especially at this price. Unfortunately, it fell far short. I booked a lake-view room, but the view was limited from the first floor. More critically, the room smelled damp and the air con didn’t work. With sun streaming in through the large windows, it was unbearably hot, and I had to keep the curtains closed. Staff said they would “boost” the air con from reception, but nothing changed. I asked to move but was told the hotel was full. No one came to inspect it, and I had to chase again the next day. I was shown a cooler, more spacious room but was told it would be €40 more per night. I didn’t need a bigger room — I just needed a functional one. I felt I had no choice but to pay more just to be comfortable. This was frustrating and unfair. The upgraded room was still disappointing: a mouldy shower, dusty surfaces, stained terrace tiles, dead plants, and only decaf Nespresso pods despite the listing. Layouts in both rooms were awkward, and basic maintenance was lacking. The corridor carpet wasn’t vacuumed during my three-day stay, and exposed wiring was visible. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and breakfast was fine — though the seating layout was cramped and awkward. Overall, the hotel didn’t deliver what I booked, charged me more for a problem it caused, and failed to respond appropriately. I left feeling more stressed than rested.

Fantastisk fint hotel! Hyggelig personale. Nydelig frokost med gode råvarer. Stilig design, stille og rolig. Nær cenrum. 8-10 min å gå. Fin strandpromenade helt inn. Gratis parkering ved hotellet og mulighet for lading av el-bil. Anbefales! Kommer gjerne tilbake!

All style over function, and zero bathroom privacy! Yes, they do deserve 5* for location, cleanliness, and their friendly, helpful staff, BUT I'm afraid that's where it ends. The ridiculous "designer" furniture and fittings throughout the whole hotel sacrifice any semblance of comfort or function for the sake of silly, quirky-modern wankery. Everywhere you look it's style over function..... 1) If you have the sort of relationship that's happy with watching and hearing each other in the bathroom and shower then you'll love the glass doors and walls here. You have been warned!!! 2) Hanging space for clothes is a couple of stupid "modernist" bars at the wrong height for anything longer than a t-shirt. Dresses had to hang from the TV!!! 3) The chairs on the balcony look ever so chic but are horribly uncomfortable. 4) Stylish but uncomfortable and impractical seating in the courtyard that, again, has been selected for style over function. 5) All the decor and furniture in the foyer is ever so "quirky", but incongruous, uncomfortable and impractical. Yet again style over function. BUT TO BE FAIR THERE ARE SOME GOOD POINTS: - The location is great - easy walking distance from the old town - The whole place is spotlessly clean. - The Staff are all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. - Free still or sparkling water on tap 24/7. - Good bathroom and shower (but see above!!!) - Comfortable bed - Good breakfast So it's not all bad news, but definitely not all great!

Our stay at the hotel was amazing! I really liked the friendliness of the staff - they were really kind, always there to answer questions. We truly felt welcomed. The breakfast was amazing - everyday they changed the finger food options, freshly made eggs in various kinds, the breakfast spot was a long table where everyone gathered, so it was easy to talk to other hotel guests. Our room had that amazing XXXXL shower with a view onto the lake. The balcony was directed to the lake and even though there were people on the streets and near the lake, the balcony was our favorite spot as you could easily relax. The location was just perfect - right at the lake, quiet, 10 minutes from the crowded downtown of Bardolino. We were extremely happy with our choice of staying in this modern and fancy hotel and would come back any time!

Mattia made our stay extra special. He was extremely attentive to our comfort with suggestions on where to dine……Asked if we needed anything every time we returned to the hotel. Truly a pleasure to deal with. He provided the best customer service we had on our entire 3 week holiday….

Spacious room! Great food choices at breakfast and a lovely lady hosting. Bathroom strange - open plan so no privacy in toilet apart from glass door. Shower did not drain so flooded the room quickly. Black, dark corridors are not typical of a hotel in a sunny location. Enjoyed but not 4 stars.
