We enjoyed the apartment very much. We did NOT enjoy waiting one hour and 45 minutes in the street for someone to come open it for us after a long day of travel. I estimated (and let you know) that we would be here around 18:30, then called from the taxi that we would be 10 minutes later. I was assured this was ok and was thanked for the call. The agent never arrived; a second agent was called who also never arrived. Finally the maintenance man came and opened up for us. Although he was very nice and helpful, aside from getting the air conditioners on and one TV, there were many things we had to figure out for ourselves. At 22:15 an agent called wanting to come over right then to collect the balance due. This was entirely too late, especially after taking so long to get into the apartment!
I hope some reasonable refund on my credit card for this inconvenience will be forthcoming. Standing in the street for almost two hours (plus the pretty terrible entrance) made some members of our party want to move to another hotel/apartment.
After FINALLY getting inside, we enjoyed the apartment.
A few things would make a big improvement:
•First, the tv remotes didn’t work; some didn’t even have batteries. The only one that worked was the one in the living room.
•Several light bulbs were burned out.
•The back bedroom (on the left) has water damage at the ceiling with vines growing inside the apartment!
•••Having only one key for 7 people does NOT work. At least 3 or 4 keys are necessary.
•The apartment was advertised as having 3 bathrooms, but only TWO had toilets.
•The air conditioner in the master bedroom leaked onto the balcony & street below. The lady who lives below came to complain & said it had been leaking for at least two weeks. We put a pot from the kitchen to catch the water, but thought you would want to be aware.
*The entrance (front door & foyer) needs to be cleaned & painted.
Things that were good:
•Good renovations! The wood floors are beautiful.
•Well appointed kitchen—dishes, etc.
•Very nice to have laundry detergent, dish soap, paper towels, coffee, etc. This was a welcoming touch—-Thank you!!!
(The coffee pods did not appear to fit the machine, but we made coffee in the older pot.
•Beautiful mosaic floor in bedroom to the right.
•Although we didn’t use it, the terrace is very nice.
•The fans were helpful and very much appreciated in the rooms with no air conditioning.
I hope these comments are helpful to you.
