Wonderful stay at the heart of the city
Our time on Barcelona was only enhanced by Derek's beautiful property. As soon as we entered, we were delighted by the views and amenities the space offered. Most importantly, this location was absolutely ideal for the activities we had planned in the area, including our Flamenco show right next door and our nearby bike tour we had the following morning. We also learned later that this particular area of Barcelona is known to be one of the most sought after residential districts in the city, which made us feel more special to have stayed. I would highly recommend you book this spot if there is any availability! Thank you for everything, Derek!

Second Stay at a Great Place
Nice flat at best location to explore Barcelona. Aerobus stop to and from CDG airport less than five minutes from door. Metro stop just outside door. Right at Placa Catalunya, the center of things. I foolishly locked items in the flat when we left and the caretaker responded within five minutes to retrieve them. If it wasn't a great place, we would not have come a second time.

Perfect place in the oerfect location!
Derek's apartment could not be in a better location right off of Placa de Catalunya. All transportation modes are on this square including the Aerobus directly to and from the airport. Apartment fully equipped for relaxing and cooking light meals. Comfy bed and plenty of storage. A ton of travel books on Barcelona. Great washing machine. Gigantic grocery store across the street at Ingles. The list goes on. Thanks Derek for your quick communication and use of your great apartment apartment! Highly recommended!!

Perfect location in Barcelona
My flights were delayed and my suitcase was lost, but in spite of my travel issues, Derek and Hercules were extremely patient and kind with my later than expected arrival! Communication with them was great and helpful. The apartment itself was extremely clean. The building was easy to find, especially with Derek’s recommendation for travel from the airport. There’s plenty of shopping, restaurants, and entertainment within a very short walking distance of the building. I’d definitely stay here again!

Great apartment in a great location
A great apartment in the middle of absolutely everything. Wooden rafters and vaulted ceilings in a historic building give it tons of character. 24 hour security in the lobby made us feel safe and welcomed. We loved being able to just pop in for a little rest any time we wanted. Thanks also to both Derek and Hercles for patiently answering all our many questions about what to see and do in both Barcelona, and beyond. Great experience! We will be back.

Just as advertised
The appartment, which is a spacious studio is just as advertised. The location of the apartment is perfect. All subway lines are within a 5 minutes walk from it and the Gothic Quarter is easily accessible taking a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed the food and coffee on the terrace of the Le Cercle restaurant many times during our stay. As mentioned in other reviews the bed is very comfortable and on par with luxury hotels we have stayed at. This will be f on now on our home away from home when visiting Barcelona.

Nice stay in the Action
The apt is located well in the heart of shopping, food and attractions. Taxi stand very close for further needs. We walked everywhere. It is a very busy street but quiet at night which is nice. Apt is well equipped and like ve having a washing machine given we are on a 2 month trip. Derek is very responsive and Hercules was helpful upon check in. Would recommend

Charming
A charming loft in the heart of Barcelona. The apartment is bright, beautifully decorated, clean, and very functional. It is well designed, and full of practical items to make your stay comfortable. The A/C worked great, good water pressure in the shower, and well stocked kitchenette. The wood flooring and ceiling exudes warmth, and there are plenty of storage space. The location can't be beat with Plaza de Catalunya around the corner--one of the major meeting/transportation hubs of Barcelona. Derek is the perfect host who is accommodating and responds promptly. I would most definitely recommend this place, and hope to return very soon.

Barcelona’s Best Location
We stayed six nights in this apartment and it was perfect. The location is truly exceptional. Two metro stations within a couple’s blocks walk. All the shopping, restaurants, and people watching just outside your front door. And we walked or took the easy Metro to all the tourist sites we wanted to visit. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed. Derek was instantly responsive to any questions or needs that we had. We highly recommend this rental for those visiting Barcelona.

Excellent location and property in Barcelona
Derek’s property in Barcelona is in the center of the city. We spent three days visiting the city and we’re thrilled with the proximity to everything we wanted to do. Derek is an excellent host and communicates effectively. using messages to answer any questions. Derek told us about the express Aeroporto bus that takes you to/from the apartment. Highly recommend staying with Derek.

Look no further!!
Save yourself some time and just book this property! You won't find anywhere better! This is my second time here, unfortunately last time I woke up the first morning with a horrible cold and was sick my entire stay! So will definitely say that this unit is very cozy! This time was healthy the whole two weeks I was there so really got to enjoy Barcelona! This location is so fantastic! I walked everywhere the entire time. There's a wonderful tour company, Explore Catalunya, that is an easy 10 minute walk away. I took 6 tours with them and each were wonderful! This time I discovered a wonderful restaurant, Honest Greens (go out door, turn right at Apple store, down one block, cross at light, turn right and it is there. Wonderful foood, lots of vegetation options (plant based) but some meat/seafood too. Can download app, order online and pickup on rack in front, easy peasy! I also would stop in the Boqueteria (sp?), the market about half way down, on right, of La Rambla and pick up fresh cutup fruit and sometimes empanadas. Entertainment has been upgraded to huge tv with Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. Check my Jan 2019 review for more. I forgot to mention last time how nice it was to have such a large bathroom counter to put all my stuff! I've stayed in VRBOs all over North America and Europe, by far this is my favorite! Derek is very responsive, helpful and just a delight to work with.

Wonderful flat; the location couldn’t have been better!
This is a wonderful little Barcelona flat! It was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do. And the bed was very comfortable! Derek was really great to deal with, even when we had multiple itinerary changes with our flights. Hercles (the property manager) was there on time when we checked in and the whole process was very easy. Derek made some great recommendations of places to see and go, and Hercles was very helpful in telling us where to get things we needed during our stay. We hope to make it back to Barcelona some day and would definitely stay in this flat again.

For a couple visiting Barcelona, you cannot do better. Studio loft with 12' ceilings almost directly on Plaza Catalunya. Two security guards in the lobby. First class building. Better than we expected.

Perfect apartment in Barcelona
We went Dereks apartment and we had a great time there. The place is simply perfect. Right next to Plaza Cataluya, nearby La Rambla, Batlló House, La Pedrera House, nice restaurants, shops etc. The apartment is very cozy, with a great view to Agbar Tower. It has everything you need. Derek is a great host, he responds to your messages very quickly. I would defetnely go back there if I travel to Barcelona again.

We loved staying at Derek's apartment. It is centrally located and walking distance to sites and the metro. The building from the outside is on a busy street but once you get insides, it's incredibly quiet. The bed and the blankets are incredibly cozy, and the exposed beams are lovely. We were very comfortable and happy! We would most definitely recommend staying here!

Barcelona
Location was everything. This was the perfect spot in Barcelona. It also was the perfect size for the two of us. The property provided us with a place to sleep, to put up out feet, to do laundry, to store food and drinks, to access WiFi, and to have invigorating showers. It was also very secure. Highly recommend this location rental.

Perfect location
We rented this place knowing Plaça Catalunya is the transportation center for Barcelona. What we couldn’t get to on foot, was a short Metro or bus distance away. The flat was perfect for our needs . The kitchen is not really designed for cooking, so if you have plans of buying local ingredients and cooking meals it might not work for you. If you are mostly eating breakfast and heating up food it is more than adequate. The bed was comfortable, and although there was a little street noise, it was muted and never a bother. The shower was in a tub, so someone with mobility problems might have difficulty getting in and out. The water pressure was good. There was both a toilet and bidet, which I always appreciate. We had a little problem with the AC, which turned out to be our problem. Hercles came in short order to help us out. The building is locked with a door man, so we always felt secure. The flat perfectly met our needs

Best location in Barcelona
The studio apartment is perfect for a couple. It had everything we needed. The best part was the location, on Plaza de Catalunya. The Aerobus dropped is off a minute away. Grocery store across the road. Walking distance to many of the areas we wanted to see. Easy access to metro and city buses. Derek was very helpful when at one point we thought we might need a doctor. He also recommended a guide for us, who was very knowlegeable and very nice. We had a perfect week.

Beautiful loft
Beautiful loft in a perfect location. Comfortable, cozy & clean. You can walk everywhere. Wonderful restaurants nearby. Derek is very quick in his correspondence. Easy check in - Hercles was waiting for us & explained everything. Would highly recommend.

Great location,
This was a wonderful studio apt with an elevator and a doorman. Hercules was a darling. The apt is in the heart of Barcelona and we could easily walk to many attractions. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Great location
We felt we had the best location possible to the old city and all its charms. The Autobus from airport was easy to manage and basically dropped us off at front door. We walked everywhere and access to restaurants , shopping and tourist sites couldn’t be easier. We will recommend this spot to family and friends
