It was a real treat to find an Expedia hotel that didn't disappoint. We were travelling Latin America and it was a real pleasure to stay at La Posada del Arte. The decor is fabulous and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt welcome and comfortable in this hotel. We only stayed one night as we had a strict time schedule. However the hotel made up for the disappointment of the town Banos. The problem for us was that we had already been to Iguazu Falls where the waterfalls are truly spectacular. Banos waterfalls could never compare and perhaps I am being a little harsh. If you are travelling in the area and looking for a lovely hotel with a delightful atmosphere this hotel is it.

IT'S A HOSTAL. I know I know, its listed as a hotel but, it's indeed a hostel. No TVs, no AC, no dressers to put your clothes away. Now...LOCATION is a 10, safety walk to restaurants, bars and the lively downtown area. STAFF 10. Front desk staff were patient and accommodating to the best of their ability. FOOD... 10. No need to go out (of this hostel) for a delicious, made to order Ecuadorian breakfast. The grounds are very pretty and the waterfall view is incredible. I'd recommend this HOSTEL to anyone with a backpack and just needs a bed to sleep.

A great stay

Our hosts, couldn't do enough for us, they were helpful and friendly, the breakfast & dinner were excellent. The rooms were spacious and comfortable if a little dated, but that did not deter from the pleasureable stay. A good location for exploring the area.
