Rooms are clean, view is great, everything in the room worked and staff was very accommodating with our breakfast schedule. So why 2 stars? Their parking is across the road and the owner has a small but aggressive dog there that bit my wife in the leg as we were walking towards the car so if you have a vehicle and want to get bitten by a dog - this is a place for you. Best part - they even charge you for staying at that parking lot with that unruly dog wondering around.

Petronio and his staff were absolutely wonderful! So kind, super accommodating and helpful. The rooms were very unique, and the view overlooking the town and across to the volcano was just stunning. Breakfast was delivered to our door each morning in a little basket, and the staff booked us cabs when we were ready to go into town. Although with the breeze, the birdsong, the clouds, and the volcano, I could have stayed put for the entire trip!

Incredible view! Open air feel to the unit like we were hanging above Banos. Staff was helpful. We needed more water for drinking. Since it is so removed it would be nice to have a few amenities like water jugs. The breakfast was good but it was cold by the time we recieved it. Note, the units are up a long set of wooden stairs so if you have a lot of luggage it can be a slog. Parking is across the street and it is myunderstanding that you have to pay for it

Magical Experience

This place was magical. The views and the service was exceptional. Very modern and clean rooms. Only 5 mins and $5 taxi ride to town.

The water temperature in the rooms does not regulate well, extremely hot then will go to extremely cold. The area above the city is beautiful, breakfast was excellent, beds are comfortable. You need transportation to get into town.

There are just not enough stars to give Deluxe Volcan! The accommodations were amazing, the view breathtaking and the owner did triple the amount of work to ensure we were happy! We will be back!

Great view, confortable suite. Great for couples. Not good for small kids. If you want to enjoy city restaurants or nightlife, you must have a car and make sure whoever is driving doesn’t drink at all or the car might fall down the mountain on your way back to the hotel.

The place is secluded and peaceful with nice views from the city of Baños, the staff, therapeutic massage and breakfast are enough to make you feel on top of the world. I gave this place a 9 out of 10, for the only reason that if you have difficulty walking you must in advanced suggest to get a lower level room, and perhaps it will also give you a better city view. The transportation is simple and arranged ahead of time with the help from the receptionist at the office, with the taxi fee that is not included of course. This is a beautiful romantic and peaceful getaway , a place you must visit in your lifetime!

My husband and I stayed here a couple nights on the Baños portion of our Ecuador trip and were really impressed with the service and of course the amazing view! The manager is very helpful and always assisted us bringing things up and down the stairs. There was an assortment of things in the mini bar to purchase which was convenient. The bed is very comfortable and the blinds make it dark enough to sleep in after a night out on the town. The jet tub is wonderful, perfect place to relax and admire the view. Also, you are served homemade breakfast in a basket each morning - super cute. The only down sides are that the power will go out and if it’s after midnight they can’t run the compressors (which makes sense). Also, the hot water is inconsistent. However these inconveniences don’t take away from the overall experience. If I’m ever in Baños again I would certainly stay again. A beautiful and unique experience!

The staff Eric was super nice and attentive, the view was spectacular and breathtaking. What we didnt like was that some doors have gaps in them and bugs would come inside. Aside from that everything was amazing.

Deluxe Volcan is located up a steep hill about 10 minutes from Banos centre. The views are incredible but it’s important to be aware of the steep drive. The units are well made and functional. Good shower and comfortable bed. However the units/rooms are basic and very cold. Our bath did not work either. Staff were kind and helpful.
