I am not particular when it comes to hotel stay and this is the first time I ever rate a hotel due to ultimate disappointment 1 the whole floor is very wet unless aircon is set 21 or lower, due to humidity? Can't attach the photobut It looked like the floor was just mopped. It was so wet until we had to walk like skating on ice the shoke day, In the end we had to set the aircon to be very cold. 2 in room dining are limited and tasted bad. 3 the blanket cover is broken. The zipper is broken ooen. Lose threads. 1 stars are given to the friendly staffs.

Really liked the bedrooms and access to the beach. Staff were friendly although not always able to accommodate requests as the hotel was so busy. The hotel was super busy over the holiday weekend and there simply are not enough facilities to accommodate. Breakfast areas were overflowing. No where to sit. Evening dining also overflowing and reservations not available until beyond 9:30pm. Staff very overwhelmed and quality of food poor. Pool area too small for number of guests. Rooms very noisy - children running up and down corridors and screaming. The beach and beach bar was the best place to be to gain some respite from the extremely busy and noisy hotel. The access to the beach was great and the staff at the beach bar very friendly. There is construction underway, although that was not a bother. The spa facilities were really good and we very much enjoyed our treatments. I expect this is a lovely place to stay on a non holiday weekend. However, it's unlikely we will return given our experience. While this hotel carries the Westin name, it was not the typical Westin experience.

The hotel is a peaceful spot compared to the Hard Rock Hotel nearby, it also has semi direct access to the beach (main hotel is separated from the beach by a quiet road). The beach was clean and well maintained. It is a red-flag beach - the water was choppy and there were signs up warning guests about jelly fish, so we just paddled in the water with our feet. This would be the case for any hotel on the Desaru coast. We checked in for 3 nights and they gave us 2 complementary passes to the waterpark attached to the Hard Rock Hotel, which was good, but considering we were a party of 3 (2 adults and a child), it would have been good if we didn't have to ask for the additional ticket at check-in (we were originally told we would have to pay for the 3rd ticket, but I did say our reservation was for 3 people and they kindly brought up the third ticket along with the bags). The hotel is undergoing renovation at the moment so not all their amenities/facilities were available (only 1 of their 3 pools were open). It would have been good to know this at the time of booking. Food was really overpriced and you are a captive audience as there is not much nearby to walk to (you can drive out to get some food), so thank goodness for Grab. A bug bear of mine was that we had to pay for parking (RM5 per day), guests should really be parking for free. The breakfast buffet is extensive and the food is good in general. Generally the staff are polite and courteous and it was a good few days break.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though there was construction going on and we stayed over a busy period so the hotel was extremely packed. Plenty of options for the kids, lovely staff and overall service.

Had a wonderful stay with my family. Everything from the room layout and condition, the spectacular ocean view, the food and the top notch service was as good as one could ask for. Great running areas close by too and the beach is epic. If I had to nitpick the only thing not perfectly pretty is the walking corridors leading up to the rooms which are absolutely barren. Put a plant or two there will you!! 😂. But really, can't say enough kind stuff about the place.

Our stay is very close to lunar new year and there is construction work on site but noise is not great, perhaps due to reduced work prior to the new year. There is nothing much to do in Desaru as the red flag is raised daily at beach dur to jelly fish. Only the small swimming pool is usable. Buffet breakfast has a good spread. Not much to say about the limited ala carta menu for lunch and dinner. Good place to chill out in life and that's about it.

Excellent Seaview. The breakfast variety is amazing! so many different food for all ages and cultures. Can wait to revisit again after their new renovation gets completed.

The ambiance was amazing. The room was amazing. the view was amazing. However, we had difficulty with food, as Malay food is not for everyone. We it's manageable. As there are no good food options nearby, there is no taxi service like Grab. but the hotel can call a taxi for you which is usually a bit expensive. Food in the resort is extremely expensive. Other food options are pretty far, maybe 6 to 7km. The next thing I would say, is the toilets need hand bidets, these auto bidets are of no use. and waste a lot of water. The staff is extremely polite and very attentive. I loved the vibe of the resort and stay.

Love the beach front access and view, the new games room that overlook the beach! We like the bathroom especially the bathtub and the provision of complimentary salt. Recommended for anyone who needs a break. Looking forward to a new swimming pool.

Impressed by the amenities and the hospitality provided by the staff upon arrival and continue to receive hospitable treatments following by and during our 2 days stays here. Westin is also very near to desaru beach and water park which is a great plus point. In general very impressed with westin and will definitely recommend westin to family and friends.

Best stay in MY for a long while!
Hotel was relatively new, so everything is still in pretty good condition. The buffet spread for breakfast was pretty good with many cuisines represented. Not sure about lunch at the hotel as we were out most of the time, but there was a Prego for those who like Italian food. It has a seriously good gym complete with a TRX cable system and a nice spa, priced much cheaper than most similar one in SG. The staff was fantastic. I misplaced my Apple AirPods at breakfast, and they kept it for me when I retraced my steps. The concierge Azam (not sure I got it right, but he is slim bespectacled) was so helpful that he organised so many things with my wife (including my birthday celebrations) and kept tabs on us to ensure that we did not miss a bus or an appt. Every staff we encountered was so nice and helpful. This is by far the best experience I had staying anywhere in Malaysia. With most prices of things in Ringgit, coupled with the strong SGD against the MYR, there cannot be a better nearby option for Singaporeans to have a holiday. I think it's a great place to chill for couples and also those with toddlers. I see loads of SG cars, but the attraction for me if that I bypass the Causeway jams with a 1.5 hr ferry ride from TMFT and complete with a free 15 min shuttle to the hotel from the Desaru jetty.

It was very disgusting to see that the Water bottles is the room has mould on them. This is very unhygienic and mouldy. This was completely unacceptable for a hotel like yours. Really dissatisfied and disappointed
