Like the other Welcome Hotel in Bamberg the buffet breakfast is understanding with a great range of German breads and rolls. cheese, cold meats, hot bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs, cereals including Birckenmüsli etc etc. The breakfast room faces directly onto the river Regnitz which is very picturesque. The staff are really friendly and helpful both with me and my teen children! It’s only a short walk to the centre of town, or along the river to the Old Town and Cathedral. The rooms were comfy and amazing value *****

Pleasant place to stay, popular with groups, there was a large corporate away day there when I arrived. A pleasant walk into the centre of town along the river, a longer walk from the station. Slightly ineffective air conditioning, decent coffee machine.

Nice place to stay just outside central bamberg. It is located by the water and is easy walking distance to the town centre and its attractions. Buffet breakfast provided was very substantial. There is a carpark available which was convenient and reasonably priced.

An ok stay at Kongresshotel.

An ok stay at the Kongresshotel. We booked for 2 adults and 1 child but the extra bed hadn’t been installed and the double bed was two separate beds (this is apparently normal for this hotel). They quickly installed the third bed after being made aware and everything was ok.

The breakfast was good that is true. But the room was not completely clean. Under the bet they should clean more often. And the gym was not a gym, they dont have a gym, they have just one machine that is completely not working

This was my second stay at the Welcome Kongresshotel Bamberg. Overall, it was a fantastic stay as always. For travelers with a car or rental car, having a parking garage directly under the hotel is a huge benefit since parking can be hard to find in Bamberg. The hotel overall is modern and well furnished, has friendly and helpful staff, a great free breakfast buffet, and a bar/restaurant in the hotel for folks who are short on time to eat out in town. The hotel is walkable (20 minutes for most) to the Altstadt (old city) as well as the Innenstadt (city center) which is convenient for tourists. My room this time had a shower stall rather than bathtub which is convenient for travelers who may not be able to climb into/out of a tub due to mobility issues. The only downside for me was not being able to view local TV (Bayern 1 / 2 / 3) channels in the TV. Highly recommend this hotel!

Sehr schön gelegen nahe Innenstadt

Um in die schöne Altstadt Bamberg zu kommen, muss man nur über die Brücke gehen und ein paar Minuten laufen. Der Aufenthalt im Hotel war insgesamt okay die Zimmer sind allerdings durchschnittlich eingerichtet., die Sauna muss mit vier Euro extra bezahlt werden und es ziemlich dunkel. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung.
