  • The perfect place for a great night's sleep with comfy beds and plenty of soft generous towels. After your day tour visiting the surrounding area you can come home and prepare yourself an evening meal in the well-equipped kitchen. All utensils, pots and pans are at your disposal and there is even a full range of herbs and spices. All areas of Mayo, Sligo and Galway are easily accessible from this great location. It is the perfect place to base yourself while discovering the amazing beaches and woodland this part of Ireland has to offer. Ballintubber Abbey is a mere 2km from the cottage and the famous Moore Hall is just a short 15-minute drive away. Castlebar is just 11km away and has lots of restaurants and shops. The TF Royal Events Theatre offers 2200 seated capacity, the largest outside Dublin, showcasing many famous artists and productions.

This is a little gem in the heart of the countryside. Great comfortable beds, very well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. Excellent location to see the county. Very helpful hosts who made our stay all the better.Highly recommended.

Beautiful property

We based ourselves at the cottage as we were attending an event in Westport. It was a lovely location and we had a nice meal in a nearby restaurant. The host was lovely and the cottage was very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the dogs barked all night the first night but they were quiet the second night.

What a lovely cottage, and it is very close to Westport and attractions in Mayo county. We had a wonderful stay. There is a nice pub down the lane across from Ballintober Abbey.
