Lovely hotel right off Nizami street

The hotel was extremely well located right on Nizami street which is what we wanted for this leg of our trip. There was a little noise from the street at night but we knew about this before booking and wanted to be right at the heart of things before we flew back home. The shower would run hot then extremely cold which was the only minus about the hotel!

Hotel located right in the central city, walkable distance to everything shopping dining, 5-10 min walk to Old city. We stayed in October and the AC wasn't working, per hotel staff they switched to a winter mode and 23.5 C is the lowest temperature you can set, so be ready to sweat while you are in the room. Our shower was missing a Glass door, so every time you use it, our bathroom would turn into a pool area, be ready to wipe the floors every time you use a shower. Keep in mind that the location of this hotel it is not accessible to taxis or any other vehicles. The hotel does offer bellboy service with a prior phone call request. They bellboy will come out and meet you at a nearest parking lot which about 80m away.

Dirty hotel

I'll start with the good things about the hotel, in terms of location, the location is excellent and accessible and closest to Nizami Street for all the shops, the old city everything is within walking distance, the employees at the reception were nice and smiling. ‏But regarding the hotel's shortcomings - first of all, the rooms are not ventilated, there is no window, the carpet in the room was full of dirt and there were parts of the carpet with smelly mold on it, the shower is not clean, full of scale, the closet in the shower cannot be put anything in it because it was dirty and wet... and the "cleaning" of the room only started at 4-5 pm and even later and it is important for me to note that there was no actual cleaning, only that they changed towels and the bag in the trash can and made the bed!! A bad experience all day. My husband and I started itching all over our bodies from the shampoos they but in there, and because they don’t change bed covers. So if you don’t have enough money and you don’t care about clean room and good smells choose otherwise it’s really horrible .

I already wrote a recension about first week of my stay. Last portion of my impressions. Don't think to buy anything in the hotel!!! Last day I only asked where one can buy caviar in the city I mean title of shop, adress. They immediately told me they have certain contacts in supermarkets and can organise delivery of caviar in one hour directly to the hotel. I paid them in euros but in the evening they surprisingly told my order is cancelled but my refund goes in local currency as they changed euros in azerbaijan manats. Why? My aim wasn' t eIlxchange. I insisted that I want return euros as I gave them because obviously exchange rate was against me. Next day after many quarrels they finally gave my euros from the safebox which vere absolutely the same banknotes which I gave the previous day. So they haven' t changed them in the bank offfice as they told... can't believe that the goal is only to take some cash on rates difference. But afraid it is. Strange final episode and miserable behaviour Of course they remain nice smiling persons and hotel's location is fantastic
