Bait and Switch in Bad Reichenhall

The advert on Hotels.com is misleading and should be changed . There is no Alpenstadt Hotel. There are 3 different hotels, and you are allocated to one when you arrive. Only one has a manned reception, and parking is a lottery. We had to go to a different hotel (Sonnebichel) for breakfast, and there was no step free access. Our particular hotel (Erika)was an old building with nicely appointed rooms though the door to the balcony was in need of attention. There was a lift, possibly the smallest I've ever seen, and would not be suitable for many wheelchair users. Main issue is lack of staff on reception (the Erika had none) to handle queries, nor is any information provided in the room. Disappointing and poor value for money.

Lovely little hotel close to Salzburg

Very nice staffs; good breakfast. My room had an awesome balcony looking over the mountains. It’s a cute little town very close to Salzburg of you have a car. They also provide free tickets to public transports if needed into Salzburg.

A stay was perfect. We had a 55m apartment, very well equipped kitchen which includes own, microwave own, kettle, washing machine etc., big bedroom, huge living room and balcony. Also big enough bathroom with shower and bath. Breakfast was very nice as well like a 4 star hotel. Hotels is showing this accommodation as 4 star hotel, in fact is 3 star hotel but in reality we feel like 4 star customers.

Schönes Hotel, sauber, freundliche Leute. Wellnessbereich sehr schön. Dampfbad wird gerade neun gemacht. Das Gradierwerk funktioniert - einfach die Fernbedienung finden und bei Knopf „C“ auf „ON“ drücken. Auch die Infrarotsauna funktioniert - leider sind manche Taster im Bedienfeld falsch herum montiert und man schaltet die Anlage daher aus anstatt an. Hier ein wenig ausprobieren und ca. 20 Minuten warten bis alles aufgewärmt ist. Tolles Grühstückbuffet
