    Waterfront Home with Hot Tub, Goreous sunset Views and Private Boardwalk to the Creek leading to the Sound.

    Askins Creek Cottage is a three-story home with a host of amenities, furnished decks, and amazing views of the Pamlico Sound! There is no better place to watch the sunset than here. Inside, you'll find a well-equipped, full kitchen for whipping up your favorite recipes as well as a dining table for six to enjoy meals or play some board games. Pick a seat to watch TV in the sunlit and cozy living area, or head outside to take in the view and soak away your cares in your private hot tub as the sun sets. This home also includes a fish cleaning station for prepping your day's catch.

    Walk out the private boardwalk from the house to the creek behind the home to sit and relax. The creek leads directly out to Pamlico Sound which is ideal for kayaking, kiteboarding, windsurfing, and fishing.

    What's nearby: Take advantage of the amazing restaurants less than two miles from the home anytime you want a break from the kitchen.

    Please Note: As a barrier island, Hatteras is constantly changing. Beach conditions, dunes, and access points may vary due to erosion, restoration projects, weather, and other environmental factors.

Great for a quick trip. Would have loved to stay longer. House was bigger than expected based on pictures. Well stocked. Had everything we needed and more!

Wonderful home

Spacious home with large best equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, balcony with beautiful views, and fantastic hot tub perfect for relaxing after active exciting day. Kayaks available too for easy kayaking from channel to bay for long kayaks or kiting or just relaxing on the beach.

Great location, all you need for guys fishing trip.

Location. Southern most edge of Avon. Still close to the point to fish. But still close to food lion and other restaurants. Nice gas station close by to air back up at. Great stay!

Very nice stay and vacation

The house is very nice and we had a great stay. One thing to know, it says checkin time as 400 pm on here but it is really 600 pm when the rental company reaches out. Also, the mosquitos are legit so bring bug spray! The house is located in a nice quiet neighborhood close to the bay and beach. Both easy to get to. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Lovely home!

Loved the location on the sound and quick walk to beach! The kitchen was so well stocked with nice pans to cook on. Couch was so comfy to chill on too! Just a very comfortable home! My only complaint was the first floor bed was not comfortable. But still a great house!

Fantastic Property

This cozy home was perfect for our family of 5. It’s in a quiet neighborhood but close to everything. The kids used the private dock daily to catch bait fish from the creek, then used them for surf fishing. The hot tub, kayaks and tiki toss were fun additions that we used frequently. The living room furniture was very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the outdoor shower and fish cleaning table were very convenient. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.

Location is perfect!

We spent a week as a family of five paddling in the sound and then walking to play at the beach. The river going out to the sound was low and required wading and pulling our SUPs and kayaks, but we made it work. The beach was lovely and we even got a permit to build a fire one night. We brought bikes and rode to Duck donuts a few mornings!

Anniversary getaway

Spent 3 nights and had a great time. Location was perfect. In a neighborhood away from the highway, but super close to ORV ramp and gas station to air up tires. Grocery store 5 min away. Fully stocked kitchen, they thought of everything. Very clean and easy check in. Dock in the back was perfect for a little fishing. Hubby caught a red drum off it on our first day. Hot tub sunsets were fantastic. We will visit again.

Family Fun in OBX

Everything was great. Property was clean although it didn't come with things like condiments or extra trash bags. The house was beautiful though. Our family enjoyed the hot tub and kayaks. One thing to note is that if you click on the map to get directions on the Vrbo app, it takes you to the wrong address. However if you type it in yourself to Google maps, it is easy to find.

Beautiful location and views--poor response by rental company

The location and sunsets can't be beat. However, the cottage was not clean--significant amounts of dust on a/c vent and ceiling fan that can be seen from the loft. TV service was not available until the last day (Roku credit card expired). The rental company promised (via phone and email) they would come and clean the a/c intake vent and address the tv issue. They never came to clean (but did refund our cleaning fee) and the tv was not available until our last day. The home itself was nice with a well-stocked kitchen although the ice maker does not work. There are no beach chairs as advertised within the Vacasa description. If I were the owner I'd find a new property management company.
