"Everyone was very friendly. The rooms are not very big to move around in with two queen beds. The breakfast bar needed more hot items."

"New Bern is a hidden gem! Incredible history, architecture, gardens, shopping, dining, etc. Try Persimmon's restaurant on the water. The brand new staff at Tryon Riverfront weren't helpful at problem solving room issues. Food fantastic (especially gluten free sweet potato pancakes) but expect to wait awhile."

"Place was a dump! Definitely not worth the hundreds a night it was! The egg patties were hard, the gym is a storage unit and was unavailable. The room was dirty feeling. Got the suite with the room spa and the spa tub was gross! I had to ask for cleaning supplies to clean it myself and that didn’t even help much just made me feel a tiny bit better knowing I cleaned it! There were young adult friends of the worker hanging out in the front lobby being loud! Maybe they lived there? The hall outside our room smelled like a cat box!"

"Location was beautiful, beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked great, and appreciated the black out curtains. Our daughter loved the balcony and view of the water. Water pressure in the shower was very nice and towels were super soft. Breakfast from the Bistro was expensive but delicious!!"
