While my stay at the Rydges was lovely. The staff member that checked us out was not ve very forthcoming with her customer service skills. She barely looked up from her desk and she was not very explanatory when asked questions. But aside from this i enjoyed my stay.
Pretty good stay in central Auckland. Bed was comfortable, staff friendly and efficient. Sink in bathroom was small for being the only sink to fill water bottles and kettle, also parking building next door was a bit dirty and rough with no working lifts and a dirty stairwell to go through. Only other option was valet parking.
The hotel was close to good casual dining choices and an excellent steakhouse called Tony’s. We walked to the marina area and to the luxe shopping district. The Central Park area on the hill was a steep but lovely walk which we did after visiting the Art Museum
So busy with construction right under our window but on fiday when thy where on holiday , so peaceful.

Parking was a nightmare. The power went off in our room, took numerous calls t reception before anyone came to fix it.

Rydges is very central to resteraunts, sky city and a short walk to the Viaduct. The rooms are small, however the facilities are very clean and we enjoyed the happy hour at the bar and meeting new people

Reception staff were not helpful, eould have paid for breakfast but was not offered on arrival, room was very basic for the price

Location clean, staff was good, but could have been better, called desk asked for lotion delivered to room and mone was ever delivered.

The staff at Rydges Auckland were amazing. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They arranged an early checkin to one of our rooms so we could store our luggage there. They checked our luggage after checkout so we could utilize the day before our cruise started. They were helpful with arranging meals and suggestions on things to do and see. The hotel itself was modern and clean. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The location was excellent. Walkable to SkyTower, the port, Victoria Park and Albert’s Park and to shopping.

We saw many better looking properties in the area and our stay was way too expensive for the quality of stuff provided. The parking was a rip-off and we chose this hotel for the expedia VIP access which did not help in anyway.

The coffee bar in the corner of the lobby was outstanding, especially the service provided by Senar the barista. He made us feel welcome and at home. Coffee was very good, paninis were excellent.

The staff let us keep our bags there until we left. They called a cab for us to get to the airport.
There was no creamer for the coffee in the room and they didn’t refresh the coffee for our second day. Overall, it was clean and convenient to transportation.

The front desk and concierge staff were excellent at both check in and check out times. This is the reason I scored the stay good not average.
The suite was clean however it felt unfurnished, which seemed strange.
The breakfast meal was terrible. We had the breakfast buffet and the scrambled eggs were not edible tasted powered almost. The baked beans were watery and the sausages were very unappealing they just looked boiled. Was very disappointing.

A little bit mixed. Requested extra glasses and toilet paper - promised but never arrived. Arranged ourselves. Close walk to all the sights and eateries. Bags straight to room on arrival. Checkout fast. No Gold Membership treats. No newspaper. On balance OK, but.

The room was clean and comfortable. The coffee in the room was instant and terrible. The Wifi would not work so we used the Bar Wifi, 5 floors below us. Not very good. Overall, it was a comfortable place with friendly staff. I'd stay here again.
