Perfect Family Getaway
We were fortunate to spend five wonderful nights at Zoofari. It was paradise for my three grandsons and an enjoyable and relaxing getaway for the adults. The house itself is very spacious and comfortable and the yard is a dream. The yard is large and fully fenced which is perfect for dogs and kids. There is a great play structure and a trampoline and even a two hundred pound tortoise living in a corner of the yard. The pool and hot tub area looks so inviting I’d love to return in the summer.
There are five adorable miniature horses in a corral in front of the house that guests can feed and pet anytime. Then Laurie gives a tour of the more exotic animals in the back of the property including a camel, zebra, water buffalo, ostriches, emus and various donkey hybrids. They all are friendly and docile and Laurie provides carrots to feed them. Paradise for animal lovers! My grandsons also loved playing with the three friendly cats on the property.
Laurie was wonderful to work with. She left carrots in the fridge for feeding the animals and lots of treats for us humans as well. We had a problem with one of the beds on New Years Eve and Pedro came promptly after our call on New Years morning to fix it.
The location is also a bonus. There are several great beaches within an easy drive, wine tasting, Hearst Castle and the elephant seals near San Simeon. In short, you can’t go wrong spending time with your family at Zoofari!
