We stayed with adults and teenagers. Everyone found great accommodations for the night. There was plenty of room. The sheep on the wall was funny.
The kitchen was stocked with everything to prepare dinner and breakfast for our group of 4-6 people.
The beds were comfy, enough towels.
Communication with the manager was easy. We would stay there again.
We loved our time at Mount Rainier.

Contacted host about mold on shower curtain and around shower. Immediately sent someone to replace curtain and clean. Great response.
Very clean and tranquil perfect view and great pictures. We had deer at the front door one of the days which the kids loved! It is a bit outdated but for just a weekend away with the family it was perfect. There’s was a bit of leaking from the toilet but other than that we had no issues. Would def stay here again.
For the first time in my life we had to leave the the BnB before our checkout date as it was not habitable. Place is filled with mould and dampness. We have a friend who was allergic to it and she started getting sick. There were ciggerate buds on the porch. Basement is filled with algae. Washroom doors doesnt have locks. No hot water available. Kitchen doesnt have proper utensils and whatever they have is really dirty. If yoi will see the sofa they have you would question your life as to why you chose this place. After all of this host was rude and told us we that we are doing this for money. There are ample of similar reviews on other BnB site for this place and no wonder it got banned from there
Perfect location for family get-together and base camp for Mount Rainier NP adventures
The chalet was our home base for a family reunion with kids ranging from 2.5 to 10, a teen & multiple family units. The bedroom on the main floor was great for grandma, with a bathroom right across the hall. The curtains are sheer, so we hung up a large blanket to darken the room. The basement bedroom & the loft bedroom allowed for separate home bases for the other various family units. The loft bedroom windows let any outdoor light in, but that did not bother us as we like to get up early. The downstairs bedroom features a ginormous boulder that the chalet is built on/around. The kids loved to climb on it. The stairs up to the loft & the stairs down to the basement bedroom are steep & without tightly-spaced balusters, requiring extra eyes on exploratory toddlers. There is a door to close off the downstairs stairway at the kitchen.
Great grandfather visited with no accessibility issues, using his walker to get inside from the car & his wheelchair on the main floor.
The kitchen had sufficient pots/pans/dishes/silverware for our home cooked meals. Bring your own casserole dish & measuring cups/spoons. We used the charcoal grill most nights to cook evening meals & s'mores. We also used the oven, stove, microwave, toaster & coffee pot (filters are provided).
We really enjoyed lounging on the deck. The deck furniture has seats for 4 (plus a large ottoman that could seat more). We brought extra lawn/camping chairs to ensure everyone could be outside together.
The tables in the dining area allowed us to all sit together inside for a meal. We brought our own games & puzzles, but there were some provided at the chalet (along with a TV and DVDs).
We lit fires in the indoor fireplace at night (not necessary for summer, but still fun for coziness). Hot water was plentiful for showers or washing dishes.
We have stayed with large groups near other National Parks & found this price point for the location, group size & level of “fanciness” to be right on market. The location just outside the Nisqually Mount Rainier entrance could not be beat. We got into the park every day early, before any lines or full parking lots, thanks to the location.
This is not a glam or luxury chalet – but it has all the amenities necessary & a few extra (fireplace, grill, indoor sauna room) & lots of beds! The location, size, price & communication from the owner were all outstanding. Definitely recommend this place for large groups who want quick access to the National Park.
We stayed for a few days and had a wonderful time!

Pictures are deceiving
From the outside this is indeed a gorgeous mountain chalet in a beautiful setting. The location is perfect, super close to the Mt Rainier entrance. Unfortunately the inside is run down and in disrepair. Walls and doors were dirty, couches broken down and stained. The picture windows are foggy disrupting the view and there are no chairs on the deck. For us the property did not match the cost and description in the listing. The manager did offer a free night due to repairs in the basement that made it unavailable.
Best place to stay with a large group near Rainier
From Checkin till checkout everything was easy and perfect. The place was clean. We had enough bath towels for our large group. Manager was reachable anytime, and he was very helpful too.
