Estancia breve pero agradable

LLegamos a las 10 de la noche y la pena fue perdernos la cena, ya que terminaba a esa hora. Nos recibieron muy amablemente y nos indicaron la habitación, la cual estaba acondicionada de manera agradable. También nos aceptaron al perro sin problema alguno y allí tenían otro negro pequeñito.Lo pasaron muy bien jugando. El desayuno estuvo bien también. La casa es muy bonita y la zona es muy tranquila, algo apartada del centro. Repetiríamos sin problema.

Good food and nice people

This was the cutest farmhouse! We had a wonderful dinner and the woman and man who seemed to run the restaurant where lovely! I hit my head on a doorway, and they gave me ice and continued checking on me through the evening! Such very very nice people with wonderful food in a beautiful setting

Remote location. Unfortunately no-one spoke english so it was difficult to organize transport to the hotel from the camino way. When you get there it was a pleasant stay with an excellent dinner served.

Sehr empfehlendwertes Hotel,sehr freundlich

Kostenloses Transfer zum Camino,außergewöhnlich gute Küche und super Service. Das Hotelzimmer war sehr groß und außergewöhnlich gut gestalltet, mit liebe zum Detail.

Hyggeligt hotel med god vin.

Hotellet ligger uden for byen. Meget hyggeligt hotel med en god atmosfære. Vi boede der i forbindelse med Camino vandring. Der r først mad kl 2030 så hvis man er meget sulten så køb noget med til hotellet.

A perfect place just off the Camino

Stayed one night whilst walking the Camino de Santiago. The staff were so friendly and the evening meal was excellent.

Real Local Feel!

Further from the Camino trail then we thought, but just a 12Euro taxi ride. Rooms were small, but comfortable. Food was excellent-- and main rooms had a very authentic local feel. Very glad we stayed here!

Wonderful place with lots of local charm!

Very authentic and local place.Rooms were small, but comfortable. Giant fireplace in the entry was stunning and a fabulous area to meet other Camino walkers. Dinner and breakfast were excellent!

Liebevoll restauriertes Steinhaus

Da wir spät ankamen , konnten wir die " mittelalterliche" Kulisse nur erahnen . Wir wurden sehr freundlich aufgenommen und nach einem vielfältigen Frühstück waren wir von Casa Brandariz begeistert.

Off the Camino by 10 kms...

But owner will come and get you, and drive you back to Arzua the day after! Definitely, worth the detour!

EL DESCANSO DEL PEREGRINO.-

Después de caminar casi 35 km, llegar a Casa Brandariz es como encontrar un oasis en el desierto, la paz, el silencio, el trato humano y la gastronomía de su restaurante han hecho que cargase las pilas para la siente etapa del Camino de Santiago, totalmente recomendable, un servicio de traslado desde el Camino hasta el establecimiento rápido y eficaz, deseando volver pero para pasar mas días, disponen de un sevicio de masajes para peregrinos muy bueno y muy bien de precio.-

A real gem

I was in the middle of my camino and decided to stay somewhere special. I have to say the hospitality of Eduardo and his staff was excellent. The accommodation was really exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, simple home cooked and made to a high standard. It is Galicia at its best!!

COMENZAMOS REGULAR

Al llegar no todo fue agradable. En primer lugar a Eduardo, responsable del alojamiento, creo no le sento bien que hablara con el por telefono y despues realizara la reserva con expedia o por lo menos eso entendi por sus gestos y comentarios. Al llegar, despues de realizar 30 Kms andando ( haciamos el camino de santiago) nos encontramos que habia una celebracion de un bautizo y la habitacion asignada daba al lugar donde se realizaba todo el acto por lo que, nuestra idea que era descansar un rato y luego ver los alrededores no pudo ser, El ruido era infernal y parecia que lo teniamos en la habitación. Tras terminar la celebración todo fue paz y descanso, sin ruidos. Despues, tras hablar con Eduardo y tratarlo todo fueron cumplidos y el querer que nuestra estancia fuese lo mas agradable y placentera posible, consiguiendo que se olvidara el comienzo de nuestra llegada. Es un gran anfitrion y se vuelca con su negocio y con intentar que todo esté de nuestro agrado. Volvería a repetir el alojamiento sin dudarlo y lo recomendaré a todas las personas que vayan a hacer el camino o que viajen por el lugar. Cena menu de 9 y desayuno de 10. Enhorabuena. No se como pero cuando llegue a santiago llevaba la llave de la habitacion que me asignaron. La envie por correo certificado y cuando contacte con el establecimiento para comentarlo, todo fueron palabras amables. Eduardo no cambies.

La estancia en Casa Brandariz ha sido estupenda. La casa y sus alrededores de postal, con todos los detalles cuidados. La atención del personal inmejorable, la comida abundante y riquísima y la habitación de ensueño.

Overnight on the Camino.

Yeah I know pilgims are meant to stay in 10 euro Alberges but after a long day walking and the risk of rain it was good to have a night pre booked at Casa Brandariz where we warmed up by an open fire, were served delicious home cooked food and local wine, and slept soundly in a comfy bed with en suite facilities. The next morning a more than we could eat breakfast was provided. The proprieter arranged a pick up from Arzua (we phoned him when we got there) and return the next morning. In this part of Spain little English is spoken but the staff were very helpful and we managed to understand each other. Overall a brilliant little part of real Spain waiting to be discovered.
