It's not the best place I've stayed at. There were literally 6 spiders in our room as we got in, and several more bugs. Those had been around for days if not weeks, so housekeeping doesn't seem to care about those. The camp kitchen has all you need, but because it's half outdoors, you eat with lots of spiders, flies, and bugs. People used the kitchen loudly till after 11 pm, which was another bummer.

Remoteness, nature and closure of the national park unfortunately impacted our trecking adventure and stay in Mungo. Strong winds, soaring 40C temperatures and loss of power and water at the Lodge followed by the closure of the Park due to forecast heavy rains and pending road closures led to us leaving the lodge earlier than planned and disappointed.

Mungo Lodge is a must

Definitely worth visiting Mungo National Park & glad we chose the luxury of staying at the lodge. Continental breakfast included but you can have a cooked breakfast if you want. Great dinner, quick service because we ordered before going on the sunset tour of Lunettes. Huge open fireplace in the dining room

The property was in a remote location and that was its main attraction. It provided excellent meals considering its location.

Mungo Lodge great experience

The majority of the staff were young international people working their way around Australia and they are an absolute asset to Mungo Lodge and their respective countries. They were polite, helpful and respectful. They made our stay a very positive experience.

This please is amazing definitely a must do Book directly through mungo lodge thought to make sure you have a booking We turn up to find out our booking was canceled but Erin was quick to fix up the booking for us she was wonderful Great please great food definitely will do again

Excellent facilities in a very remote spot. Good food and coffee, good access and all pleasant and helpful staff. (Eden terrific). Loved the sunset tour. Eccentric domestic animals and great Aussie wildlife, especially emus. Shower was a bit tricky.

Oasis in the middle of nowhere! Shame there was no hot water for our showers. While there was a complimentary breakfast no one told us about it until we were leaving

We totally loved our stay at the Mungo lodge. The rooms are set up beautifully and the bed, pillows, linen etc are very comfortable. Above all the girls at the restaurant and at the reception desk are so welcoming and attentive. We definitely will stay at the lodge if we go back. Thank you!

All access was closed due to weather for a few days before our trip and when I confirmed two days before they never told us so spent 10 hours driving and an overnight going to nowhere… we would have just postponed if known.. never got there.. so disappointed.. just a text to say roads closed? Not that hard..

Mungo lodge is obviously coming back from the ravages of Covid 19. Small things like loose taps, curtains need attention, sunset tour was interesting and fun, the bar staff were friendly and helpful, the receptionists not so much.

Great experience at Mungo lodge, friendly staff, lovely dinner with a warm fire place and fascinating history in the surrounding area. There is about 86kms of unsealed road on the way in, we had a car and it did the run fine.

Mungo Lodge is in a unique geographic location with a unique indigenous and pastoral history. The loge is very comfortable, the food is high quality and the staff are fantastic - very helpful and positive.

Mungo Lake is a unique and fascinating part of Australia. The lodge, where I stayed, has no flexibility in terms of people self catering by the provisions of such amenities as a microwave and some crockery and cutlery. The accommodation is quite primitive given the cost although the bed was very comfortable. The food in the communal dining room was limited in choice and expensive.

We stayed only overnight, but it was a great experience, unique location, beautiful sunset, so quiet, peaceful, very relaxing. Our room was comfy, clean and spacious. We enjoyed our stay very much.

No hair dryer provided because the lodge is operated by solar power. The air conditioner is pretty weak to cool the whole cabin. I enjoyed our stay, otherwise.

We didnt make it due to rain and roads being closed. The Lodge were helpful in staying in touch - . Its really important o be flexible with your plans - this apparently is not uncommon. 2 different Councils make decisions about Road access and National Parks about Park access. In that part of the country there are other great options though if this is the case

The accom was great, restaurant very good and tour to the lake in the evening very interesting. Having cabins joining onto the next one caused some noise to be heard from the adjoining guests, and the dining room was cold at breakfast. Other than that, all great

It is the only accommodation at Mungo apart from camping. So it has no competition. The accomodation was comfortable but some of my dinner was not hot- Luke warm at most.
