The owner and his son went out of the way to always be ready to help. One day I felt sick and they offered to make an appointment at a doctors office, take me there and even stay if I needed someone to translate. Wonderful people and a GREAT place to stay.

Decent for the price and the area

Decent for the area and the price. Nothing special but no problems. Rather old, plain furniture, but do the job. Spacious room, nice view to the sea, good for families. Location is not bad, one-two minutes drive from the center of the village with the restaurants.

traumhafter Aussicht auf das Meer

Wir verbrachten unsere letzte Nacht in diesem Appartement. Tolle Lage, nur 15’ von Chania und 30’ vom Flughafen entfernt. Strand und Restaurants in der Nähe. Frühstücksmöglichkeiten direkt gegenüber. Das Zimmer war sauber, sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Die Zimmer gehen zwar nach hinten zum Meer, trotzdem sind die Autos der Hauptstrasse laut zu hören. Der Ausblick aufs Meer war ehrsinnig und fantastisch. Sehr netter und freundlicher Vermieter. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Echt zu empfehlen!

I absolutely loved this apartment! We slept very well in great beds, the A/C was perfect (easy to change temp and fan speeds), the bathroom was perfect (shower seems small, but you can "spill" as there is a drain in the middle of the bathroom) with a lot of water pressure in the shower, and of course the view from the balcony is unsurpassed.This is part of why we came back to Kalyves... a town that is quiet yet busy enough, a town for Greeks but also some tourism (not overrun like Almyrida), great beaches, some amazing restaurants (our favourites are Provlita and Akrogiali), comfortable bus connection to Chania. And that view.... hours of gazing over the Souda Bay, watching boats come and go, or the planes that land on Akrotiri. Giorgos and staff were extremely friendly. Since we live in Canada, we don't know when we will make it back to Crete, but if so, we will go back to Christi!

Trevlig lägenhet med familjär känsla, kan rekommenderas. Bra service och nära vattnet, det går att bada om man tar sig en liten bit bort. Vägen hördes en del nattetid, öronproppar ett måste.

Très bien

Appartement avec terrasse sur la mer. Très propre, le ménage est fait chaque jour, très bien placé, à 20 min du centre de La Canée. Excellent séjour!

Giorgos (George) the owner is very welcoming and he is typical of the friendliness we experienced whilst in Crete. We felt relaxed from the onset with any questions helpfully answered. Smaller businesses can be hit and miss however we would have no hesitation at all recommending this destination.
