Excellent location. Everything in Antigua at walking distance. We had a very nice breakfast in the restaurant located in the premises. The staff was very friendly.

Very friendly staff and smooth check in process. However our water cut off and was off most of the night and we did encounter a couple of roaches in our bathroom. I understand its an old building and we were in one of their more budget rooms but that did kinda suck. The shower head was one of those water heating kinds too which was also kind of uncomfortable. Overall, its good for travelers on a budget.

A truly beautiful, boutique colonial-era hotel. It is super clean, with great staff, and the room was big and comfortable, with a great bed. It's perfectly located near downtown Antigua Guatemala, shops, and restaurants. Highly recommended!

Hotel Monasterio was perfectly located to attend a wedding at Convento Santo Domingo (less than a block away). Upon arrival, we had an amazing meal delivered to the room (could not be put on the room tab). Staff was kind and helpful. The room was roomy with a seating area, plenty of outlets (for steamer and hair iron), as well as mirrors. I'm not sure whether there was AC, but it had a good fan which was sufficient for this time of year. There was also a fireplace and firewood outside (which we did not use). For the price and location, I was very pleased.

Nice little place with dining options.Staff members are super friendly and very keen to help.The breakfast is outstanding and the other dining options leave nothing to desire. All in all a very pleasant stay and very nicely priced,we surely we'll be back.We stayed here twice so far,the first time three nights and the second one two nights.If you have a choice then take the bigger rooms😀

This was just what we were looking for -- private, quiet, clean, comfortable, convenient. Staff were great, helpful and friendly. Although there is no restaurant on-site, there are lots of cafes and restaurants in close walking distance. We'd love to go back!

Our second time staying at the hotel and it was just as great. Alejandro at reception helped us coordinate a trip to climb Pacaya Volcano, and all the staff were friendly and responsive. Very clean and comfortable.
