Harbour View Apartment sits on the first floor of a 17th-century Category C-listed building in the very heart of Crail and is accessed via a communal entrance and one flight of stairs. The apartment enjoys truly spectacular views over the harbour, beach and sea from both the sitting room and dining room. Outside the main summer season, three-night stays are available, making it a lovely option for a coastal mini-break as well as longer escapes. With tasteful local artwork throughout and Wi-Fi included, it’s a welcoming “home from home” for couples, artists, bird watchers, walkers and golfers, with a great choice of courses within a 10-mile radius.
Accessed via a secure communal stair from the side/rear of the building, the apartment opens into a bright reception hall with hardwood flooring and doors to all rooms. The sitting room has dual-aspect windows – one framing the harbour and sea, the other looking back towards the High Street – and is comfortably furnished with sofas, occasional chairs, tables and lamps, plus a TV with Freeview and Fire Stick (sign-in required), DVD player and a selection of books.
Next door, the separate dining room is perfectly placed to soak up those harbour views, with an accent chair and side table by the window and a dining table for four. A door leads through to the fitted kitchen, with a mix of closed and open units, electric hob, oven, extractor, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge-freezer.
The spacious double bedroom has a solid wood bed, bedside cabinets and lamps, fitted wardrobe and an inbuilt desk with shelving and chair – ideal if you need a quiet corner to write or work. The bathroom offers a vanity basin, WC and a short but deep bath with overhead thermostatic shower, plus mirrored storage and a window looking towards the harbour.
A characterful Crail bolthole with unforgettable views and easy access to the Fife Coastal Path, the East Neuk villages and the world-famous golf of nearby St Andrews.
