With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, it has flexible accommodation for up to six guests. Two of the bedrooms are superking rooms which can be set as twins if preferred- perfect for golfers or friends looking for a break by the sea.
Entering the property via an external staircase, the entrance hall gives a glimpse of the style throughout- panelling, the tartan stair runner and rich colours create a homely and welcoming feel. On this level is the spacious lounge with range of seating and dual aspect windows letting the light flood in throughout the day. A cosy library area is reached from the lounge with a comfy armchair to read your favourite book and a snug play area for wee ones- or a chill out den for the teens! The dining kitchen is well equipped to allow you to cook and try out some of the great local produce. The first bedroom, a superking, has fitted wardrobes so plenty space for storage. A modern shower room completes the first floor. Upstairs are two further bedrooms, a further superking bedroom and a king bedroom, both of which have great views over the pantiles rooftops below. To the East, you will see the Isle of May and to the West you can enjoy views across the harbour with lighthouse and over towards the golf course from the window seats in each room. As well as passing fishing boats, you might even be lucky enough to spot a passing pod of dolphins! Auld Fisher’s Hoist is well located for being a short downhill stroll the coastal path and shoreline and a five minute walk to Anstruther harbourfront where you will find a selection of cafes, bars and restaurants, fish and chip shops and independent shops. The historic harbour at Cellardyke is less than ten minutes’ walk with the open water tidal pool and outdoor centre where you can try some watersports. St Andrews is easily reached in less than 20 minutes and Edinburgh around one hour making this a great base for exploring further afield. If you have a larger group, Auld Fisher’s Hoist can be booked alongside Auld Fisher’s Catch, the apartment on the ground floor, so that up to ten guests can be accommodated.
