「Keswickから思ったよりも近かかったのがよかったです。周りにはお店等はほとんど何もありません。施設は古いですが、昔の邸宅のような雰囲気で、部屋は広く、快適でした。朝ごはんは、1階の素敵な雰囲気の食堂でフルブレックファーストを食べることができます。ゆったりとした時間を過ごすことが出来ました。」

「Really nice, clean place about 7km from Bowness and the start/finish of the Hadrian's Wall and about 20 mins in the car from the centre of Carlisle. Excellent breakfast and really friendly proprietor. 」

「Just returned from wonderful two night stay at Black burn Lodge and it lives up to the rave reviews. Stunning location by the river, where we spent the evenings in the gazebo enjoying the views and a glass of Baileys . The room was spotlessly clean with high quality bedlinen and furnishings. Also separate lounge if weather not great. The hosts make you feel so welcome and provide a lot of formation about where to eat and visit in the area. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again.」

「The Art Bank is the perfect place to stay in Dalbeattie. It’s unique with its colourful rooms and selection of art. The breakfasts are incredible and Mandy/Ange make you feel welcome. Doggy friendly too. We look forward to our next visit.」

「A perfect place to stay. Location is right by the side of the solway firth with great views and an array of local birds. The accommodation is of a very high standard and has everything you want. A separate bedroom, bathroom and living room. There is a great range of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and they even supply fresh milk daily. When you stay here you are the only guests which gives you the exclusivity and personal touch. Talking of the personal touch, as it was Easter some chocolate...
