"Very accommodating. I needed a last minute overnight stop while driving cross country. I also needed fragrance free due to allergies. After calling 10+ hotels and them all telling me they spray frebreeze in the rooms (ewww, why?) the man at the front desk assured me I wouldn’t have an issue. He then opened the window in our room to air it out for when we got there just in case. Also very clean and quiet. Great customer service"

"We've stayed at this particular location in the past, when it was part of other chains, most recently Ramada, I believe. The current owners are busy renovating the property and while it remains a work in progress, we were impressed with what's been done so far. Our room had been renovated and was very nice, an improvement on our most recent previous stay at the location. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Continental breakfast was fine (I'd suggest adding bagels or wheat bread to the options for toast). The hotel has an indoor pool that is large enough to allow for real exercise. I hope the owners will continued their efforts to remodel and improve the property and that travelers will give them a chance. We travel to the area frequently to visit family and will plan on staying there again."

"There's on-site maintenance right there when I arrived to make everything easy. Also got a call from Cathy the owner to check in on me. Great time especially at night with the campfire and breeze from the lake. Fun local bar scene as well at Whacky Jacks and also the Timber Steak House"

"There is plenty of parking right in front of the building. Checking in was easy—you get the physical key from a lockbox using a 4-digit code. The place was pristinely clean. The lake view was beautiful, and you can enjoy it from the chairs right by the door, or from inside. My wife and I used the kayaks to explore Fox Lake, and it was a lot of fun. Even though it was my first time, it was easy to maneuver through the still water. Life jackets are conveniently kept in the brown box. There are big-screen smart TVs in the living room and in each of the two bedrooms. You can bring an HDMI device (like a laptop) to use them as monitors, or log into your own Netflix account (just don't forget to log out). High-speed Wi-Fi is also available. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen was well-stocked with cups, plates, pots, a cutting board, disposable silverware, and dish soap with sponges. We did use the provided K-cup coffee pods and the creamer in the fridge. There are many restaurants just a few minutes away. We really enjoyed our stay. I might be back with my kids in the future. Thank you very much!"
