The staff were very nice and accommodating. The shuttle drivers were great. The hotel was clean and the room was sufficient, a tad outdated. It appeared they were doing some upgrades. My room had new carpeting and updated furniture, but the walls were bare. It appeared they were working on it one thing at a time. The breakfast was very basic; decent eggs and sausages, plenty of seating. It’s right next to the Alaska Railroad station. Some restaurants are close; ask the shuttle to take you up the hill, easier walk back is downhill.

Really close to the train station short walk from the amtrac. The pool was broken, the airport shuttle was unavailable at that time. We went to breakfast at 830 only had pancakes, sausage, toast and juice. I guess someone took all the food for a lunch or something. The room was clean. The sink was very slow to drain. Water pressure the the shower was hot and great 👍.

Parking was a little tight a few nights, but still available. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was consistently very good and very well prepared. The staff taking care of the breakfast room did an excellent job keeping things maintained. We enjoyed our stay. The only negative was the pool was so cold, we couldn't stay in the water.

The property had only two issues that weren’t 100%….the pool needed chemicals and more heat and the end hall doors were not working which were closest to the parking. Expedia website says they have a shuttle to and from airport and can be used around the city up to 6 miles out. When we asked about travel up the hill, so many excuses as to why it would not be possible. The hotel seemed to be short staff. Breakfast was Okay. Too small of a space for guest. One man running ragged to keep food out. Lobby and breakfast area reminded me of a worn ski lodge. Pool was not open. Landscape was needed, the promotional picture is not what was there. There for 2 days and nights and had to ask for towels and toliet paper. Wonderful shower head and good hot water. Lobby restrooms were off limit to guest. Large sign posted for staff only. Loads of trash around the outside dumpster. The cute railroad items, need help if used for display. Great opportunities for this site, if spruced up but looks like no one cares.
