Wonderful property!! Modern , super clean . Large roomy well designed room we had. Convenient digital check in. A little confusing with the check out process. Lots of restaurants and bars right at the hotel , some people screaming outside. The hotel is perfect , not so much with whats going on outside at night . But Id stay here again.

We enjoyed the hotel and the location. The hotel furnishings & decorations were great. The primary draw back is that the windows do not open, so we could not enjoy the cool evenings.

Nice place!
Very nice stay, we were early the staff let us check in at 2pm. Really close to lots of restaurants and shopping. 12min ride to Amsterdam Centraal.

Having stayed at Los Rio’s Catholicos in Santiago de Compostella regarded as one of the best hotels in the world the experience at the Monument was on a par! Although the opposite of 14th century building and antiques the modern black and gold colour scheme was equally enjoyable!

Modern and clean.
Hotel had no real service with automated checking that didn’t work from the hotels.com reference number. Aside from that glitch, everything was fine. The room was modern, clean but a little small. Service in the bar was good although we didn’t eat there. Great location on a little square with plenty of options for food and drink

Visually, this is a great hotel. However, it is in Zaandam not Amsterdam and I didn't realise until trying to use my GVB ticket that it's too far out to extend to this area. Whilst transport back into the central area is very easy it's at an additional cost. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Zaandam station and the route takes you through a pleasant town centre surrounded by quaint housing and of course ubiquitous canals/waterways. The staff were lovely, friendly and spoke (and read) English very well. The room design and overall cleanliness was great, but the mirrors were smoked and the hairdryer didn't work. As we had an early trip, I upgraded to include breakfast. Unfortunately as it only started at 7:30, that was too late for us as we had to leave before this time in order to commute in to make our trip. I'm currently in the process of trying to sort a refund. It would've been helpful if this start time had been advertised as part of the upgrade request. The following morning we had breakfast, which was a bit of a disappointment. We were only given one cup of tea. There was no juice or water to accompany it. As I had my refillable water bottle I asked for it to be filled and whilst they obliged, it seemed like a begrudged act. Generally, access to water to drink whilst in Amsterdam was hard, which is ironic. The only water fountains that we found were not in the central area and the locals(?) seemed to be using them for other things, such as washing their face/feet.

The hotel is above a pub with no front desk staff. I had problems accessing my reservation and my room was a long way away, up flights of stairs with no lift access, which meant I had to carry my luggage up the stairs after a very long day of travelling. The layout of the room was very odd and not very restful.

Hotel is in a decent location and nice. Rooms are nice, but i saw insects in the toilet! We forgot our key in the room and came home late evening, we could not finf any staff to help, dialled the emergency number no one answered, because it has no front reception and is self check in, we could not find staff and the hotel has an emergency number after 11 but no one answered called like 50 times. Ended being homeless all night!

It's a lovely, modern looking & clean hotel which is conveniently based in the city centre. Lots of places to walk & shop. Sadly didn't get around to using the restaurant or bar but lots of others did. The self check in was out of order when we arrived but the bar staff helped us sort out our key and we paid the extra tax then without any problems. Couldn't connect our phone to the Chromecast but that could've been user error. Only a 6 minute walk from the train station. Would definitely recommend it.

Hotel room is lovely - the area not not too nice. Very noisy , rubbish left on the streets from the night before. The town area didn’t feel safe with people hanging around in groups. Hardly anywhere is open early morning for breakfast. Not many actually do breakfast. Oh and visa Mastercard debit doesn’t work in all shops so be careful.

We were very pleased with this hotel, it covers everything also not far from the station & other amenities Menu good staff friendly Only two things which are not important really is Mirrors in the room are all Smokey so you don’t get clear view of what you look like etc, which is not always bad Plus my friend & I drink lots water , no jugs to bring tap water that you can drink, always brought little glasses half full , maybe the Dutch are not keen on water !!

Fijn hotel midden in het centrum, miderne i richting. Het contactloze verblijf maakt het wel onpersoonlijk maar daar staat een goede prijs tegenover.

Insegesamt war es ein toller Aufenthalt. Das Hotel liegt direkt in der Innenstadt mit vielen Restaurants. Direkt am Hotel parken geht leider nicht aber in der Nähe gibt es einen grossen Parkplatz der am Tag 8 Euro kostet. 20 min bis Amsterdam.....Einchecken ist ohne Personal möglich aber am Nachmittag ist jemand in kleinen Office da den man auch persönlich ansprechen kann. Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder
