Great 3 night stay at this hotel, the staff were really helpful and a comfortable bed. The bed could do with an extra pillow each but other than that the room was clean, shower was fine and if you're on a budget it's a good place to stay!
At first I was not able to contact the hotel to receive instructions, once it was solved, access was easy. The room is very small, it was so hot without AC. Door in bathroom creaks a lot. Convenient location (walking distance for museums)
The staff was very nice and welcoming! The room and bathroom was very clean. The mattress was extremely soft and comfortable!! Very close to everything. Overall super worth it. Very convenient too because it’s next to the bus top that brings you to the airport!!!
A perfect location for a family visit to Amsterdam...charming, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, so easy and comfortable...lovely. And breakfast in the morning is delightful! Hotel Vondel Garden is a short walk to visit Van Gogh and all the Dutch Masters!
Great location near trams, canal cruise, museums; free coffee and chocolate drink selections and yogurt in reception. Good bagged breakfasts. Backs on to Vondel Park so quiet at night.
Water worked only half the time but staff was kind and tried to help. Very steep steps to third floor was a bit scary if you have a big bag. Great location. Would only stay again if extremely cheap but don’t spend too much on this, especially if you need a shower badly.
The hotel was right next to Vondelpark and I enjoyed being close to nature and havjng a tree view. I was able to rent a bike from the hotel and I rode around the park. I dined at the nearby restaurants, which were two blocks away, and the staff was accommodating and friendly.
The price was great for what I was looking for. And the position of the place was next to the places where I wanted to go. Very happy and only recommended!
Lovely place to stay for an easy going couple of days. The location is wonderful as it's tucked away from the masses but Vondel Garden is a quick walk away if you wanted to spend some time in nature and close enough to the excitement not to feel left out.
Rooms are a little on the smaller side, and as a result get very warm but make up for this with the size of the wetrooms and windows.
Close to local amenities which is perfect if you're in the mood for a late night treat.
Welcome & staff & AM breakfast & free coffee were great. The rooms are incredibly small. The location is excellent for museums and for 30 minutes walk to city centre.. The room price was very high.
We will definitely stay on this place again in the
I miss this place already.
we had the biggest room in the ground floor, family of 4 with infant.
staffs are friendly, seems they love talking to people.
this is a vintage building, I don't expect a laser straight walls and floors.
at least, owners and staff did their best to keep everything upon modern standards, I appreciate them for that.
Me and my 9 years old daughter listened to a customer yelling on the phone about no water flowing in his room upstairs, we just look at each other and smile.
As we went out, a plumber came in to solve the issue.
We will definitely stay on this place again in the future.
The location of this place is perfect, near tourist spots etc.

I really liked the accommodation, the only problem was that the first night the shower didn't get hot. I really liked that they showed me how to get from the airport to the hotel!

Good hotel, very friendly staff
Nice and cozy hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpfull, especially the person working in the afternoons. We stayed in a family room and it was nice and clean but nothing extra. We got breakfast in a bag to eat in the room, it was not the best but it was something. THe coffee machine in the room was nice. Overall, nice and budget-friendly hotel, nothing extraordinary but it offers all the basics.

Extremely small but clean room. No bed side table. Hard to get out of the bed at night to go to the bathroom. The double bed took up the whole room. The bed was comfortable. Hotel is very well located and staff were friendly and helpful. Good for a short stay and if you’re not spending much time in the room.

Family trip in summer
Room was okay for 4 adult stay. Bathroom was decent size. Room was clean and beds were comfortable.
Watch outs: No A/C. Stairs are very steep. Try to get a room on first floor. Ours was on 2nd floor and you have to be careful going up and down. This is an old building so not a lot of room for stairs. Also, the shower is a bit slow.

Nice room, very cosy. The staff were lovely, room cleaned everyday if requested. The shower was too small for me to stand in. One of the above-bed lights had wires hanging out and didn’t work. Overall it was a completely fine experience

Room sucks but staff is nice
Staff were all accommodating and nice but the hotel is in shambles. The water stops working in the mornings because their plumbing can’t handle more than two people using it at once. Also there’s no elevator and the stairs are really steep. There are a couple other things but those are the big two.
This hotel is in an old Dutch home with four levels and a very steep and narrow stairwell, and no elevator. My tiny single room was on the top floor, was L-shaped and barely fit me and my suitcase. It had a skylight window that clearly had a leak as there was mold all around the window and the room reeked of mold and bleach from the bathroom. This room might be fine for a young budget traveler with a light suitcase or backpack, but was not good for me. I will say the staff was kind and helpful.
