Real run down property. Damaged cars, trash and garbage outside doors, no one was there when we showed up at 4p. Called number twice waited 30 minutes and no show. Will post what property really looks like if I can.

In the process of refurbishing. Most fixtures, towels/bedding brand new. Original design makes baths inconveniently organized (but usable). Will go back because it's getting better!

First i had to call a seperate number to get someone at the front desk. I wasnt greeted like they say. I had a nonsmoking room but it smelt like smoke :(. Also they double charged me and im still trying to get my money back.

While this hotel is not a big fancy hotel, the hotel staff is awesome. After departing from my stay after several hours I received a telephone call saying I had left My medication in the hotel room refrigerator. They went above and beyond. Sending out my medicine. Very much appreciated.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, overall it was a great stay and I’ll be back again. Special thanks to the Manager who lives there and is always going above and beyond for her guests.

When I say it is a VERY small motel room it is not an understatement. It is about the size of a regular dining room. There was barely enough room at the foot of the bed to walk between it and the wall, and with the TV mounted on that wall, it reduced the ability to navigate to the bathroom even more. I know from reading the reviews prior to making reservations that the owners were remodeling this motel, but I was still unprepared for how thin the walls were, and the ability to hear EVERYTHING that went on next door. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean, which was a huge plus for my wife, but I don't think I would stay there again. I do apologize for this bad review but It is the best I can do.

Clean rooms
I had to arrive real late. I called Ahead to give them notice and was told no problem. Rooms clean. Towels are real nice. Walls are a little then, but then it is an order motel. Will stay again.

The manager/owner was very nice. She made sure the television was working properly when we couldn't figure out why we couldn't it on. The beds are comfortable, towels are plush. Nice little motel, I would stay here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This hotel is disgusting. The grounds are dirty, and in need of repair. I wore shoes in the room the whole time, the walls are dirty, the toilet had a crack in it, the mattress was hard, the floors were dirty, the room in general needs a lot of repairs(Room #4). All of that was not the worst part, the worst part was the odor. I am not sure what the smell was or were it was coming from but it was so bad. This was the last room in Alturas available I should of just slept in my truck!

The office didn’t open at six as I was told for coffee and or cereal juice or rolls. There were about six to eight men hanging out in court yard area every night that leads to rooms. The room smelled like smoke in a no smoking facility. The floor was so dirty my grand dtrs feet were literally black after her shower from walking in the room barefoot. Her parents room had the same issue with dirty floor. It did not feel very secure for the three groups of our family that was there for an event in town.

Modoc Inn positive review!
It was a small room that I stayed in but the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating with anything I needed and I give them an A+! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if the need arose!

For a low budget hotel this is just fine. Rooms are small but do come with a fridge and microwave. The bed was comfortable and the staff is friendly.

I stayed here before and I was given a very nice room just a year ago. This year for the same price I got a tiny room you could barely walk around the bed. There was dirt residue all along the bottom of the walls making you wonder how thouroughly its cleaned. The linens/towels were thankfully all cleaned. When trying to work the tv its was a miracle to get it on and couldnt even get anything but static. When I arrived to check in I waited around for about 10 mins, I could hear people in the back but got no response when I called out several times. A lady drove up and dropped someone off then drove off, then a minute later realized someone was in the office and came back. They have a sign on the door that could have been utilized to let someone know they would be back soon or something. She was good about getting us extra towels later at least. On site there is an ok open breakfast "bar". Overall I was disappointed to spend bearly $70 for this when a motel 6 in the bad part of reno is better and cheaper.

Room was tiny but very clean, no place to hang or store your clothes. Pillows quality was no so good hurt my neck. Excellent customer service. It's a small quiet place in a small, quiet town.

Great place for a quick overnight stay.
Small room old school motel. Room was small even for one person. Good location that was walkable to many services. Great for a one night stay. Some of the best towels I have ever had in any hotel or motel.
