Top Alpine Foothills Hotel Reviews

Cocoon Salzburg
10/10 Excellent
"Room was clean and comfy with a nice view but had too much impractal furniture- long sofa took up practically all the space between the bed and wall and served no purpose, the swinging chair was a novelty for about 5 minutes but after that was really just in the way. Would have been room for a small dressing table without it"

Design Hotel zum Hirschen Salzburg
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful hotel! Child friendly but stylish and still quiet for adults. We love the courtyard and it was so inviting to enjoy a coffee or afternoon drink there. We had our 4 year old and he was able to run around while we relaxed. Breakfast was very tasty and staff very kind and attentive. There’s also a restaurant on property . We got to meet the lovely owners who shared the history of the property and gave us great tips. Highly recommend! "

Austria Trend Europa Salzburg
8/10 Good
"This property is located right next to the railway station and the local and regional transport street cars and buses. The area is diverse and we felt safe. The restaurant was a little too pricey for our budget. The river and the main tourist areas are 10 minutes away via public transit which you are given a free pass for the days you are there. Beds were comfortable and we loved watching the pigeons! Dan Milwaukee USA"

IMLAUER Palais Mirabell
8/10 Good
"We stayed at the Palais Mirabell for one night in Salzburg. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but we were fortunate enough to get one of the newly renovated rooms. It was a good sized room with a queen bed, pull out sofa for our teens and good sized closet area and very large bathroom. The decor was tasteful and beautiful. We were also fortunate enough to get a small balcony with a view of the area. The location is amazing! It was close to parking and directly across the street from the Mirabell Gardens and short walk to the main pedestrian area where many of the sights and shopping are.
The staff was lovely and helpful too. The beds were a but firm for us, but perhaps them being new was part of that.
The only issues we had were that the top hinge on the bathroom door bent (the glass door was quite heavy and maybe the hinge wasn't strong enough?) and we were unable to completely close the door. Not a huge deal, but unfortunate. The other thing was on our way out the parking validation that the hotel gave us did not work. So instead of paying 24 Euro for our parking we had to pay 40. Yes, we could have backed up, re-parked and gone back into the hotel to try and get it fixed, but we really needed to get on the road so simply paid it.
Overall, we would definitely stay at this hotel again."
