The staff was friendly and helpful . The property was beautiful and clean with old world charm . The food at the restaurant was delicious . Francisco at the front desk went above and beyond to help me . I got a flat tire an hour away from the hotel. He called Frank , a taxi driver who took such good care of me . I do not speak Spanish and Frank stayed with me until Roadside assistance arrived and then drove me to Seville to get a new rental . This place is very special . If you ever get the chance to spend a few days , I highly recommend Hotel La Malvasía and take a tour of Donana National Park .

A gem of a hotel
The stay in Malavasia was exceptional. Every room and every detail was a delight. The decor was gorgeous and the little touches in the rooms made us smile. The outside areas were beautifully appointed and arranged. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in El Rocio.

We are birdwatchers and booked a double room. The room overlooks a marsh filled with flamingos, ducks, geese etc. They put a spotting scope in my room - perfect! We didn’t know anything about the history and traditions of El Rocio but learned quickly. It’s like a mix of nature, bourses, the Wild West, church and brotherhoods. Incredible 2 nights. The hotel was perfect for us, beautiful.

It was a lovely stay. The dining options at this hotel were so much appreciated as everything else in El Rocio seemed to be always shut. A beautiful location close to all the birds on the lagoon.

positif: 1:situation exceptionnelle dans un site exceptionnel. 2: chambres de grande dimension avec une excellente literie 3: accueil chaleureux et polyglotte 4: restaurant de bonne qualité MAIS négatif: 1: impossibilité en fauteuil roulant d'atteindre la réception 2: grande chambre, mais pas de mouchoirs papier 3: belle douche italienne, mais pas de poignée pour les personnes âgées 4: restaurant de qualité mais en sous effectif. Une seule personne pour gérer le restaurant et sa terrasse. 5: petit déjeuner compris mais demander un œuf vous sera facturé (4 étoiles?)

Fantastic hotel and located in superb place Reception staff need to shape up and be more welcoming and not appear arrogant. As first time visitors we were not informed on any of the services offered by the hotel except the times breakfast was served. Restaurant closed without information. This hotel deserves a more dedicated staff The young guy serving breakfast was great

The hotel is in 2 buildings, we stayed in the new part, but we didnt get the view we wanted [over the lake]. Breakfast was a bit disappointing , the rate included breakfast but we had to pay extra if you wanted eggs. Bed was comfortable and room was good with usb port to charge mobiles.

Not Stephen King!
El Rocio was the strangest place I have stayed in, sad because the lagoons are dry, weird because there were hardly any people about, but full of hope because it is a centre of pilgrimage. This was reflected in the hotel, just waiting for people to turn up.

Great place to stay
Hotel was very comfortable and in a great location overlooking the lake. El Rocio was a very different from anything you will have seen before and well worth a look. Great opportunities for wildlife watching at the Donana National Park.

El hotel es una preciosidad, decorado con un gusto exquisito y situado frente a las marismas del Parque Natural de Doñana en el Rocío. El personal es super atento y agradable, y en el restaurante la comida es exquisita y los camareros, de 10! Sin duda, volvería a La Malvasía sin dudarlo

Fantastic wetland for birds on the doorstep. Staff went out of their way to provide drinks and snacks when required and make conditions comfortable. Interesting horse-dominated big village with good horse-riding opportunities.
