Don’t get the winter blues, come relax at our Cozy Mountain Ski Chalet!

Welcome to the Country Bear Den! Located in the very popular Towamensing Trails community. Surrounded by nature and far away from the hustle and bustle, you will definitely find yourself being able to relax and unwind. Our Poconos house is thoughtfully designed to provide you with all the amenities you need for a relaxing vacation. From a fully equipped kitchen to cozy bedrooms, we have taken care of the essentials. Enjoy the comfort of spacious living areas, modern appliances, and complimentary high speed Wi-Fi. All bedrooms and common areas have Smart TV's. Bring along your favorite XBox games or enjoy a few of ours provided. You also can embrace the beauty of the Poconos in our house's outdoor area. Relax on the deck, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and soak up the picturesque views.

Sleeping arrangements include a master suite upstairs, along with a pull out bed in our loft area. Downstairs you will find two more bedrooms and another full bathroom. All linens and towels provided.

We are located less than 10 minutes from the ski slopes! Other nearby attractions include hiking at various state parks, touring the lovely historic town of Jim Thorpe, afternoons at local wineries, playing rounds of paintball, or trying your luck at the nearby casino.

After enjoying the fun of exploring, or a full day of skiing at Big Boulder or Jack Frost, snuggle up by our cozy fireplace. Enjoy some air hockey, skeeball and video games in our heated garage game room. Enjoy a night of movies and games up in the comfortable loft/family area. We have provided board games, cards, puzzles and books to enjoy.

Whether it’s a quick weekend getaway or an extended stay, the Country Bear Den will be your new favorite place to relax in the Poconos.

Seasonal Ski rentals (extended stays) are welcome at a negotiated price! Book now before you miss out.

There will be a $200 fee charged for unauthorized pets.

Please also note that this community requires guest registration and a wristband acknowledgment and fee agreement. Once booked, guests are required to provide the required information via DocuSign.

Great close getaway

We loved staying in this beautiful home! Our family needed a quick getaway for New Years Eve weekend and this just perfect!!! Close to everything, snow tubing, great little restaurants and lots of sight seeing surrounding towns! The house was immaculate and decorated for the holidays, so pretty! We loved the gas fireplace! Will definitely visit again!!!!

What a great find!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy home. Everything was as advertised and lots of little touches to make us comfortable. We had plenty of space for our 4 kids, loved reading and watching tv by the fire and the kitchen was well-equipped for making meals. We enjoyed nearby snow tubing, Kalahari water park and exploring Jim Thorpe (including the train ride). It was a terrific winter getaway. Thank you!

Thanksgiving Getaway

This home was exactly as described and was perfect for a weekend getaway! While we didn’t have or take the time to enjoy the amenities (games, fire pit, etc.) it was nice to know they were there! Home was easy to find, quiet neighborhood, and lots of deer and turkey to be seen! We will definitely come back!

Cozy Woodland Creature Comforts

Our stay was amazing. The house had all of the reliable contents you would find in a home, all the while bringing charm and refreshing scenery to a weekend away. The chalet was so cozy and my kids just couldn't get enough of the deer in the backyard and playing chess in the loft. Our autumnal escape was the best in this rental. Cannot recommend it enough!

Perfect cozy getaway

We had the best weekend at this cozy home. the house was stocked so well with everything we needed. The porch is perfect for kids to run around and play on and development has a lot of fun ammenities. We will absolutely be back!

Great home!

Loved everything about this home... so spacious, had enough to entertain my children and was also able to just relax and spend quality time with family. Wonderful Week in the Trails

We visit this community once or twice per year. We had a wonderful experience here this past week. Beautiful clean home that was perfect for our family of four. Having all of the necessities already in the home made the vacation seamless! Beautiful property. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Beautiful

We had a great time at this property. We live in the city and this property is exactly what we needed. The house was super clean, everything looked brand new, plenty of towels provided. Honestly it looked like we're in a hotel, everything was so neatly placed, every detail of the house is so beautiful. There were hand soap, plenty of toilet paper, dish soap, even hand sanitizer in the house. The backyard is nice and it was a nice touch to put some apples for the deers, we've never seen deers up so close, it was magical. Huge plus for having outdoor games! Most of all we loved watching deers. It was an incredible stay and we didn't want to leave. We will definitely come back. Thank you so much again for your hospitality!

Relaxing Retreat

What a wonderful house to have a relaxing weekend retreat! Plenty of space to spread out, and the kids loved the loft. When we weren't relaxing in the house/on the deck, we visited a few wineries, walked around downtown Jim Thorpe, and hung out on the beach. Love how close everything is! We are big skiers, so we will definitely be back in the winter.

Great family home

We had a wonderful stay. The home had everything we needed to relax and enjoy. Very clean comfortable beds and furniture. Very close to the lake and amenities . Loved the loft area for kids to play and yard games were a bonus. Will be back for sure

Beautiful Pocono Getaway

We can’t wait to return to this lovely home! It is beautifully decorated and has lots of sleeping space. We enjoyed relaxing on the oversized deck, watching deer and birds very nearby. The fire pit is a great gathering place. Perfect getaway!
