"The hotel claimed that the room has air conditioning. However, during our whole stay the temperature of the room was at 27C. If we would have known this in advance, we would not have booked this hotel. This hotel simply doesn't have functioning AC. Furthermore, it was very load in the morning due to some construction/maintenance."

"Very unique property. Mix of historical site (originally a convent) and modern amenities. We stayed in a spacious modern room, that walked out to large grounds. The hotel included the original chapel that rivaled many that we saw in Portugal - it was beautiful. We swam in the large infinity pool and enjoyed walking the grounds. We ate dinner in the casual bar area but it was exceptionally good. The breakfast was also plentiful and delicious. This is a unique property that provided an exceptional experience - worth the price. Highly recommend"

"Knowing only a few words of Spanish was of no hindrance to our stay at this perfectly located hotel in Badajoz. For instance, the reception staff helped us order taxis and transitioned seamlessly between Spanish and fluent English, for which we were most grateful. Having said that, all the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful, initiating polite salutations in both languages as they recognised our Spanish language limitations. The restaurant staff quickly learned our choices of drinks, both hot and cold. Often they would offer us our coffee just as we liked it. A very nice touch, thank you! As mentioned by previous reviewers, the hotel location is perfect for arrival and departure by bus through the convenient proximity of the bus station 2 minutes walk away. We had many day trips to neighbouring towns, even one to Seville, by clean, efficient and inexpensive buses. The historical walled city is a leisurely 10 minute stroll away from the hotel, with many cafes en route. On days when we got weary after a long walk, a short, inexpensive taxi ride returned as efficiently to our comfortable hotel and room for relaxation. I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a base in the city/region for exploring the history and culture in this beautiful part of Spain. We stayed for 8 nights in May before moving onto Portugal."

"All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. They couldn't be more helpful. My room was very comfortable and the bathroom was sparkling clean, and had a lovely deep bath. I had a great night's sleep and went to breakfast in their restaurant which was immaculately kept, very reasonably priced and had a vast and delicious choice of foods."

"Clean and tidy cosy little flat. We had the flat 001, which as is own entrance at number 54, separate from the 52. The outside swimming pool looked lovely, unfortunately wasn't hot enough to enjoy it. Everything in the flat was perfect, even a washing/ drying machine. Which with little ones is a plus.. The only downside would be the noise of the guests of the other rooms. And the cars and people outside. You can ear them very well, like they are next to you... But that wasn't a reason to reduce my review. Check in / out was fast and easy. It's a great location, walking distance to everywhere around Evora. "

"It is a beautiful property. However, if you are not staying here with small children you may be disappointed. The hotel clearly markets itself as very child and family friendly, and it has dedicated children’s areas that are very close to main areas such as the dining room. As a result it is not peaceful in many areas of the property. Even dedicated adult swimming pool hours in the spa are not respected by guests with their children. And the dining room at dinner was not at all peaceful. They should work toward separating the noise from main areas, as they have plenty of space. Also, one should avoid Room 207 as it is adjacent to the housekeeping staging area and one can hear noises of the linen carts throughout the day. "
