"Varu is a wonderful Paradise We arrived separately and were worried but there was no need. From pick up to last night meal everything was remarkable. Crystal water, fish, coral, sharks and rays just wow! Spectacular sunsets, beautiful weather, white sand beaches and fabulous facilities make Varu a must stay."

"Resort is undergoing a complete renovation to a high standard. As of mid December 2025, restaurant, bar and pool area are finished, along with a brand new gym. Work is ongoing to some beach bungalows and all the 2 storey blocks and tennis court. It has been rebranded Eri Maldives under new ownership I believe. The works are causing a little disruption but once finished I would give it 5 stars. Great staff, great food and a beautiful little island (10 minutes to walk all the way around) and a really good reef for snorkelling straight off the beach."
