貸別荘のようなホテル
妻と滞在しました。 自然あふれる静かな場所で、のんびりと過ごすにはもってこいです。コテージの中も清潔、wifiあり、また随所にオーナー夫妻の心遣い(手作りグラノーラや石鹸)がみられ、快適でした。 ヨセミテにいく時にはまた宿泊したいです。

フレンドリーな管理人の美しいコテージでした
ヨセミテ観光のために友人と二人で宿泊しました。場所は分かりやすいと思います。とても美しいコテージで大満足でした。快適なので夜な夜な友人とじっくり語り合ってしまい、ヨセミテ観光の時間が減ってしまうほどでした。機会があれば妻子とも来たいなと思いました。ヨセミテへは1時間半から2時間はかかると思っておいたほうがいいでしょう。

アメリカのカントリーライフを体験
住所がアワニーという場所なので、かの有名なアワニーホテルの近くと思い予約したのですが、ヨセミテ渓谷の中心からは車で１時間以上の場所にありました。ただ、私たちの出発地であったモンタレーからは近かったので、ヨセミテへ出発する前に一泊するのにはちょうど良い距離でした。周り中何もないところにある本当に田舎のコテージで、天井が高い白木作りの建物でファブリックもラブリーな、なかなか居心地のよい場所です。食事できるレストランまでは車で１０分以上走らないとならないので、食料は持参して行ったほうが良いでしょう。バスルームのお湯の量に若干不満がありましたが、オーナーのお二人もとても感じが良くて、思い出深い滞在ができました。私たち夫婦がもっと若かったら、たった二人きりを思いきり満喫できるロマンチックな思い出ができたでしょうね。 、

素敵なコテージ
暖炉つきリビングのある素敵なコテージでした。ヨセミテバレーまで車で１時間くらいかかりますが、静かで落ち着ける所です。コテージの前にバーベキューグリルが設置され、自由に使えます。満天の星空を眺めながらのアウトドアのお食事に大満足でした。ジェットバス付きのお風呂も広くて快適でした。元教師だというオーナーの方も大変親切。欲を言えば、アメリカなのにベッドが少し狭かった。ヨセミテに車で行く人にはお薦めのコテージです。

Got there before 8 nobody was at the office. Host wasn’t clear on which cottage was ours just said keys are “hanging” when I called earlier in the day.Trash was left from previous guests. The bed was made but when I pulled back the covers there was a dirty bandaid in the bed. There were flies mosquitoes and a small frog in our cottage. Our cottage didn’t match up with the picture I was emailed and the other empty cottage had no working frige or keys hanging so we tried calling several times before they were supposed to be closed when we got there but no one picked up. The second day the host basically shouted at us, she told us we were supposed to be in another cottage that was already occupied by guests when we got there. The whole thing was confusing and frustrating because she ruined our evening by trying to gaslight us and raising her voice at us. She pretended she didn’t know who we were( her husband asked us earlier if we needed anything) and said she was expecting us the following day when we had reservations that was paid in full and I called her earlier that day to tell her we were coming. I told her about the encounter we had with her husband she said he doesn’t know about guests(she said that because she knew the cottage was dirty and not ready for us) even though she didn’t give us clear instructions or picked up the phone when we tried calling when we got at the property. Very unprofessional and awkward the host seemed unstable. Couldn’t get her story straight .

We are very sorry about your experience. Since you checked in later than the usual check-in time, our innkeepers posted a map for you and left your cottage unlocked. Unfortunately, you did not come to the office to pick up the map as we clearly stated in our check-in instructions, and you ended up entering the wrong cottage, which had not been cleaned.Our innkeepers were unaware that you had stayed in the wrong cottage until they tried to clean it for the upcoming guests. When our innkeepers informed you that the cottage had not been cleaned, you said it was okay. Therefore, we believe it is not our fault that you stayed in an uncleaned cottage. Additionally, we feel it is not fair to leave us such a bad review because you did not follow the instructions.

I like the area and that is was close to Yosemite but the facility definitely needs updating and supplies need to be not expired. The office door constantly said “we are closed” and there was a ring doorbell that we had to wait for someone to come from the main house to attend to people. Maybe they need to hire an office person who is available at the hours listed. Cabin was clean. Couch pull out bed’s mattress was caved in and old. The shower was either too hot or too cold.. no happy medium. But there were plenty of clean towels and sheets. Definitely some pluses and some minuses. Hope they update and hire help and it would be 5 stars . Thank you.

After thorough investigation and discussions with our innkeepers, we have gained a better understanding of the situation.It's worth noting that your arrival was considerably later than our standard check-in window (4-8 pm), extending beyond 11 pm. Despite this, our innkeepers patiently waited and assisted you in settling into your cottage, even accommodating your request for an additional bed, albeit resulting in a crowded room for four people. Unfortunately, upon your departure, the cottages were left in disarray, which posed challenges for our limited staff to rectify promptly.As a small, family-owned hotel without a dedicated receptionist, our innkeepers manage various responsibilities, including maintenance and cleanliness of the cottages. They went above and beyond to meet your requests and were surprised by the negative review. We ask for fairness in evaluating their efforts and dedication to guest satisfaction.Regarding the hot water issue, our investigation revealed no abnormalities in the settings. However, we acknowledge that the sofa bed, primarily intended for families with young children, may not provide the same comfort level for adults. We apologize for any discomfort caused in this regard.Your feedback is instrumental in our continuous improvement efforts, and we sincerely hope for the opportunity to enhance your experience should you choose to stay with us again in the future.

Beautifully decorated cabins tucked away in the rolling Green hills of awahnee. Perfect home base for lots of day trips to Yosemite and neighboring areas. We went fishing down the road, didn't catch anything but enjoyed the scenery. Would love to come back for another longer stay

We had a great and peaceful time during our Yosemite gateway. This place is fairly close, about 30 min from the closest entrance and one hour from the pretty route. The grounds of this cottages are beautiful and the place is well equipped.

Loved the calm, restful cottage. This is our second time coming to Country Cottage and it did not disappoint. We were able to cook and rest. The fireplace worked well. They have sitting areas outside and around the cottage. Staff is attentive and responsive to needs. Will stay here again! Highly recommend!

Nice experience. Very nice hospitable staff. Staff attentive to needs. Came to help with issues with internet connectivity. We weren’t able to get the propane chimney on, however the cottage has heating and it worked well. Will come again.

Our family opted for a trip instead of presents for Christmas this year, and we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. The staff was nice, and the property was beautiful. We'll be returning at some point in the future

The right choice.
Only had one night after a late job nearby. Staff was very accommodating for our very late arrival. The place was cozy, cabin like and very inviting. We sat outside on the deck looking at the stars drinking a glass of wine and were so happy we chose this cute cottage over a hotel. In the morning we were in awe how beautiful the area was. We will be back to hike the trail next time.

When I plan a trip I splurge on one special stay over the other places we are traveling to. This was our most expensive stay yet it turned out to disappoint. We were not told that they were having issues with their well and the water was unsafe to drink. For that reason we were not willing to risk showers or other water uses. Also the refrigerator didn’t work and the AC was making a loud noise so we ended turning it off so we could sleep. Although the staff tried to help it fell well short of a partial refund I felt we were due.

Sorry to hear that you have concerns about the well water. It is safe to drink as long as you boil it first. It has no any safety concerns for using on shower or cooking. I will let the innkeepers check the refrigerator.

Nice clean property, but cooker old, and broke while we were there. Internet ok. Quite a way from restaurants, so owner needs to upgrade cooker!

KID FREE ZONE
My husband and I enjoyed a nice quite kid-free getaway at Homestead Cottages. It's absolutely perfect for a completely disconnected time from your daily life. The only drawback was the mattress was a bit too firm for my liking (and back issues) so I had to sleep on the much more comfortable couch. I will say I was thankful for that couch and falling asleep with the fireplace going. Also, the coffee pot didn't work but that wasn't a bother since Starbucks isn't too far away. Overall, we absolutely loved it. I wish I could say we'd stay again but my husband and I like to sleep in the same bed so that may be the thing that prevents a return.

Beautiful place to relax! ❤️
Our family stay at the cottages was very restful and relaxing, they have beautiful trails for hiking. It's just all in all a lovely property. The property doesn't have cell service but the Wi-Fi works just fine for making phone calls. The only problem we had was the water, it was well water and it was fine to cook with, but it tasted nasty to drink. We went to the gas station 5 minutes up the road and they had gallons and bottles of water. we brought food so we could cook in the cottage and I was surprised by the amount of utensils available to me. it was very nice to not have to go out for every meal while on vacation. I would definitely stay there again.

The property is located in a very quiet area, only about 15 minutes from town. The property is somewhat run down without much in the way of amenities other than just relaxing. There was no TV in the rooms other than Amazon prime, no access to local or national stations. There was no internet; need to get this. The water was not good, although apparently safe. Water tasted terrible. There was no one in the office to check in, apparently staff shortages. The room was clean and cute. Value was average, perhaps too expensive for the level of service and amenities. For guests who really want to get away from most all normal amenities and want seclusion, this is the place.
