Accomodation was very clean, well appointed. Georg was friendly, helpful & happy to be flexible with checkout time. Great location, close to many quality smaller wineries & well known larger ones.

Perfect place to unwind!

Host Georg met us on our arrival at Karawatha Cottages. Our cottage was immaculate inside and out. The decor was bery tasteful and there were lots of little touches that elevated it above the norm. The fridge was filled with milk water, tomatoes, yoghurt, eggs bacon, butter and jam. Fresh bread, granola, fruit, chocolate and a bottle of local wine was also provided.

Cleanliness was outstandingly good, as was the location in proximity to several good wineries. The only negative, and very minor, was no guest laundry facilities. Otherwise, friendly service with a "nothing's too much trouble" attitude was outstandingly good.

New and modern cottage with beautiful scenery

We stayed in the “unwind” cottage which is one of the three beautiful cottages which were completed last year. It is well designed, modern and stylish. There is a patio outside the sitting room which oversees the beautiful vineyards. The pine trees forest at the back of the bedroom is breathtaking. We were warmly greeted by George, the owner of the property when we arrived. He runs the property with passion and everything is sparkling clean and tidy! The breakfast provision was also ample! We had a great time staying in the very cozy cottage!

Wonderful stay at Karawatha Cottages

Would highly recommend these cottages. We stayed in Ponder Cottage - beautifully decorated with everything you need. An easy drive to all the main vineyards and an even easier walk to 5 cellar doors and two great places to eat. We will be back!

Wonderful Wedding Weekend!

Thank you for a memorable wedding weekend. We enjoyed your pristine cottages, as did our guests. They had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend - in an absolutely stunning location! Home away from home!

Friederike and Georg were super attentive, kind, welcoming and helpful...we received detailed directions to Karawatha Cottages B&B days before our trip, complete with a recommended scenic route! The cottage was everything we had hoped for and more! Friederike and Georg were always there to answer questions or make recommendations, while we enjoyed 100% of the serenity and privacy we had wanted for our vacation. We will recommend Karawatha Cottages B&B to all our friends and family!

Lovely B & B cottage

Great location in McLaren Vale. Cottage kitchen very well equipped. Hosts just fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. Can't fault this place at all and we are looking forward to coming back.

Peaceful, beautiful and close to visit places.

Had a relaxing few days at the "unwind" cottage. Owners were very helpful in giving us ideas and help around the place as this was our first time in Mclaren Vale. So much to see close by our cottage. View was unbelievable. Can't wait to stay there again.

Perfect Wine lovers Honeymoon!!

What a lovely new establishment, however runs like a seasoned accommodation. The owners were very accommodating. The cottages have all the necessary amenities and then some! Its a quiet getaway but has superb quality wineries just down the road.

Incredible Karawatha. How B&B should be done.

We found Karawatha Cottages by chance, but we couldn't have been happier. The beautiful Australian bush location is matched by the incredibly beautiful cottages. The finishing are stylish European chic with an Aussie touch. The owners are welcoming and warm, and are clearly deducated to providing guests with the best possible stay. A good selection of fresh food is provided for breakfast and this is matched by a well appointed kitchen. The bed was comfortable and warm. The views are wonderful. All round it has an intimate feel as if you are staying with close friends, but in your own cottage. The booking process was simple and the owners were excellent in keeping us informed about arrival procedures. They even let us know as soon as the cottage was available so that we could arrive slightly early. We will definitely return.

Perfect little getaway

We stayed in the unwind cottage and it was beautiful. The cottages have everything you need for a comfortable stay with great views and only walking distance to some great wineries. We highly recommend staying at Karawatha Cottages.

Wonderful cottage

Brand new cottage in the McLaren Wine Region. We appreciated the attention to detail that the owners did. Wonderful, quiet cottage with a beautiful view. Cottage is complete with well equipped kitchen! The breakfast was wonderful. We appreciated the bottle of wine and the owners were very helpful. We highly recommend this gem in the McLaren area.
