This is a great place in a great location. Everything you need is close at hand.We visited Etna, Taormina and Catania easily by car, and swam both in Aci Trezza and elsewhere. There were two issues which I probably should have reported. The freezer was completely iced up so not usable, and someone had left a cialda in the coffee machine which had dried up. I was able to deal with that but many wouldn't. I'm sure someone would have helped if I'd asked.Worth noting, the nearby church bells ring every 15 minutes, might be worth packing earplugs if that's a problem for you.
