Lacking most amenities I made my decision to stay on. No washing machine, no hot water, no lights and wifi at times. Poor management ignored my complaints daily.

1. Washing machine didn't work. 2. No gas to cook. 3. Twice daily the lights went out thus no air conditioning, no hot water and no wifi. Personal items missing from one of the four people cleaning my room. The manager has no customer skills, ignored my complaints until I threatened to give this bad review. Four years a client this time was the worst with the new management. I'll never return again staying 2 to 3 months at a time.

As an African American Jewish traveler of Yoruba descent returning home, I need real space to breathe. If you’re in Ghana searching for a permanent spot, one of those places that requires 3–6 months' rent upfront, that process takes time. Until then, American Mall is a great landing place, especially if you spend a lot of time inside working. Having an entire apartment makes a huge difference when you're a globe-trotter on your second passport. Privacy & Safety: Since this apartment is situated on top of businesses, privacy is key. I highly recommend requesting the top floor and ensuring you have the hallway screens outside your door. It helps you feel secure and provides the privacy you need in a busy area. Management is cool, but they need to tighten staff boundaries. No one, including the laundry team, should be walking on the roof or near guest windows. It’s weird and can make you feel watched, but the top floor/screens help with outside the apartment. The Essentials: WiFi is strong, we ran a PS5 and Apple devices with zero lag. It’s a busy business center, so it’s not "soundproof," but it is quiet at night. Safety-wise, don’t believe the hype. I’ve walked the streets late at night with my yamaka and elekes on; nobody bothered me. It’s congested, but safe. The Practicalities: There’s no printer on-site, but the staff can point you to local print shops. Also, be ready for checkout. this isn’t America. They count every spoon, fork, and cable outlet before you leave.

For the price point wasn't expecting much so wasn't that surprising that its located in the busiest intersection with the loudest incessant noise and iffy people but omg the parking is non existent. Had it not been for my husband and the fact I had pepper spray I probably would've been attacked when waiting for my Uber when a man started yelling very aggressively at me while I was waiting because the driver couldn't/wasn't allowed in to the actual parking lot. The actual apartment has very minimal furniture and the original one we paid for lacked utensils and cooking supplies such as pots and pans. The worst thing was the absolute jarring loud incessant noise blaring all hours of the day and night, lack of running water at random times, the network was super laggy. Communication sucked. It wasn't until I went down there during maybe the boss/mgr being there that we were moved to a slightly better one but realistically don't expect to sleep well there use noise canceling headphones and or earplugs. The cleaning ppl were ok they came in a team of like 4 or 5 ppl at a time which was interesting. There's no elevator so be ready to get your cardio and weight lifting in if you're coming from stateside. You're gonna need bug spray too. Overall you get what you pay for. My husband liked that it was close to Achimota mall and the Zoo. For me it was ironic and not in a fun way that its called the American Mall.
