Wie sind zu 6 nach Schottland aufgebrochen (Alter zwischen 13-47) und haben dieses gemütliche Cottage gemietet. Wir kamen mitten in der Nacht an und konnten uns gleich in saubere, frisch gemachte, gemütliche Betten legen. Und als wir den Morgen darauf gefrühstückt haben, stand ungefähr 4 Meter vom Haus entfernt im Garten ein Reh und schaute uns an. Man fühlte sich sofort wohl.
Haus: Besteht aus 3 Schlafzimmer mit 2x Doppelbetten und 1x 2 Einzelbetten, einer Küche mit Esstisch, einem kleinen Wohnzimmer mit einem Zweisitzer, einem Toiletteraum mit Waschbecken in dem einen Schlafzimmer und einem tollen Badezimmer. Alles sehr klein und für ein Pärchen mit Kind sicher auch perfekt, aber für 5 Erwachsene mit Teenager viel zu eng und klein. Es war alles sauber und wirkte mit viel Liebe hergerichtet. Auch der Garten war schön und gepflegt.
Umgebung: Die Natur dort haut einen einfach um. Es ist alles wunderschön. Die Straßen sind etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig und nicht unbedingt etwas für Leute, denen beim Autofahren leicht schlecht wird.
Aktivitäten: Wir haben den höchsten Berg Schottlands Ben Nevis bestiegen, das war auch für "Nicht-bergsteiger" machbar, haben eine Bootstour auf dem Loch Ness gemacht und haben Edingburgh und Glasgow besucht.
Leider hatten wir nicht so gutes Wetter, aber der Urlaub war trotzdem klasse und sehr beeindruckend. Einen großen Anteil daran hatte auch das Smithy Cottage in dem man sich einfach wohl fühlte.
