Fairways Hotel Dundalk
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel check in was good & everything was explained. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable and modern with plenty of storage space for clothes. Batch was clean and well equipped with great shower. Breakfast was tasty with good variety of hot and cold. Restaurant was excellent with good quality food and waiter service. Would highly recommend."
Roganstown Hotel & Country Club
10/10 Excellent
"Everything about our stay was excellent. The staff were lovely and everyone made my toddler feel very welcome and special. We had room 201 which was great. It is a family room with a big double and a single bed that was partly separate from us which meant our little one could sleep without distraction. He loved looking out our windows at the golf course, especially when the automowers were out. We only had one problem with the room, there was a gate below our window which golfers left open and it would bang again its latch. My husband had to go down and close it a couple of times. We took our little scuttle bug with us and the area around the pond was great for it and helped to wind down our little one before bed. We were staying a few nights so brought along our firestick for the TV which let our little one have some familiar tv shows during our down time between roadtrips. It was great to have a compatible tv as not all hotels have one with an HDMI or good enough wifi.Location was good for using as a base on way to; Dublin zoo, Clonfert Fun Farm and Kildare shopping village. Food was nice. It was nice at breakfast to sit at a normal table and proper chairs instead if the smaller bar chairs and tables. The overall maintenance of the resort was great but the swimming pool needs some attention. There was a lot of missing tiles (mosaic) around the sides and or toddler even handed us one that was lying in the baby pool. We would be happy to come visit again in the future."
Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport Central
10/10 Excellent
"Had a great stay, everything was excellent. Would recommend staying at this hotel."
Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown
10/10 Excellent
"Clean room although the shower should have a mat in it as I slipped twice in it."
The Old Borough by Wetherspoon
8/10 Good
"The Old Borough hotel rooms are above a bar, but despite being a Thursday evening, the rooms were quite quiet. They are away from the drinking customers. They were clean, the staff were courteous and helpful. You go to the bar to check in, and that seemed strange at first, but worked just fine. The clerk offered to book us a taxi for the next morning and the taxi arrived early, which was great. The only difficulty was the lack of parking for checking in, as we first checked in before dropping our rental car off. The parking lot was totally jam packed with bar/restaurant guests. There was no place reserved for hotel guests to park and check in. We got it worked out, but it was very stressful, and included me having to make maybe a 9-point turn to re-orient the car. It also included two random passers-by volunteering to help coordinate the traffic. I'm not kidding! Those two were so nice and helpful!! We left too early to sample breakfast."
